Snooker mourns Ray Reardon after his death at the age of 91

Snooker titan Ray Reardon has died at the age of 91.
Reardon dominated the snooker scene in the 1970s, bagging himself the World Snooker Championship title six times - in 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1978. He's remembered not just for his game but also his playful 'Dracula' persona, which stemmed from his unique hairstyle.
Despite his age, the Welsh snooker master was still active in the sport, even making headlines recently when he made a century break, becoming one of the oldest players to pull it off. His legacy includes an MBE awarded in 1985, induction into the snooker Hall of Fame in 2011 and the presentation of the Welsh Open's Ray Reardon Trophy to its winner.

My mother's claim to fame is back when she was about 6/7 years of age she was knocked over while crossing the road and Ray Readon picked her up of the zebra crossing and took her to the local hospital in Tredegar. Great loss to Wales , Tredegar and a nice gentleman.
