- This song belongs to the American power metal band Kamelot
Vocals: Roy Khan
Guitars: Thomas Youngblood
Bass: Glenn Barry
Drums: Casey Grillo
Lyrics:
ASPIRAT PRIMO FORTUNA LABORI
ME DUCE TUTUS ERIS
VOX POPULI VOX DEI
AD MAIOREM DEI GLORIAM...
AD INFINITUM
[English translation:]
[The fortune is smiling at our first effort,
let me lead you and you will be safe,
the voice of people, voice of god
for bigger glory of the god
to the infinity.]
You know just who I am
Don't be so distant
Cause when you're lost
I am solely there to share your grief
Wailing for your sorrow
Is only my way to comfort you
Reminders of innocent youth
Waiting for morrow you're lonely
I name your solitude
I speaketh the truth
Now tell me all about your pain
Down to the detail
Don't say it's love
Your fragile heart feeds my contempt
Wailing for your sorrow
Is only my way to comfort you
Reminders of innocent youth
Waiting for morrow you're lonely
I name your solitude
I speaketh the truth
Chase the heathen call
We belong... you and I
Unison in all you deny
Wailing for your sorrow
Is only my way to comfort you
Reminders of innocent youth
Waiting for morrow you're lonely
I name your solitude
I speaketh the truth
I am the thorn in your side
That seeks accomplishment
Reminding the mortal of death
I am the spore of your pride
An angel heaven sent
The master of all
I am the urge of the flesh
I don't own anything. - Hudba
Goosebumps every time.....and we are in 2023!!!!!!!🖤🔥🤘🖤🔥🤘🖤
I too,and now is february 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!🤘🤘🤘
When i was a little girl i listen to this album, that was the first album i hear, and then i started to listen metal, the best decision i ever made, everything started with this band, precious memories of my childhood
The vocal effects match the psycho-sadistic vibe he's going for perfectly.
We've had a lot of noise complaints. could you keep it down?
Me: I AM THE URGE OF THE FLESH!!!
Um... wha-
Me: REMINDING THE MORTAL OF DEATH!!!
Okay, thanks.

This is what the soundtrack of an epic fantasy series should sound like!!!!!!!!!!!!
2020 n still headbanging
There something pretty intense about someone shouting Latin.
@T1B 2V3 Wermacht ?
Yeah, calling upon demons.....🙄😒😫
The Black Halo is about the tale of Faust (written by Goethe). This portion is him going "Fuck it, Mephistopheles, you take the wheel" after his love dies on him.

anyone else get the feeling of a Nether world army marching when listening to this song
You mean some people didn't?
I had that kind of feeling, everytime I listen to this song 😊😊
My introduction to Kamelot and powermetal so many years ago...no regrets.
yeah, me too, i binged all kamelot albums (where roy was involved) and never went back
Welcome to a whole new f***in world :D
@@predatorhunter725 My comment's almost a year old now lol
@@azazelreeds id recommend a band called Avantasia. They're fucking awesome.
Same
For those that noted Roy Khan is American.... THINK Again!!!! He's from Norway!!!
The band is American though, maybe not all the members
The voice of roy khan ⚡⚡⚡
The ultimate Kamelot song
To the infinity... and the beyond.
This one is like an adrenaline injection.
2:49 "Persona non grata".
Poor Ariel...
This song reminds me of my friendship with some people.
Dramatic Power And Gradation of this song is incredible - Great Power Metal Hymn!!!!!!!!!!!§§🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
This song calms the voices in my head.
It changes colors!!! All chakras aligned!!!
Faust is such an interesting story
This song makes me think of an Imperial Guard march from Warhammer 40k
James Scott into the jaws of death, into the mouths of hell.
Mephisto is a marvel comics character
@@davidmettille9200 and warhammer 40k had a bad mini series comic made by marvel
Sounds more like a chaos space marines song
Beautiful song
Dont get me wrong, Tommy is good. But it just seems like Roy can put more emotion into the lyrics
Roy is definitely superior. It's a crying shame, like the vocalist for the Rumjacks being replaced
Awesome Song!!! Love it!!! 🤘❤🎶🎵🎶🎵
Lol I remember one of my teachers in middle school showed this to me.
cool teacher!!! if I had kids and a teacher would show them metal music I could make him/her a statue!!

Hey Rockwell185
Thanks for doing a great job on this. I've known this song for years, but never looked further into Kamelot until tonight beyond that. I kind of like Center of the Universe, but I'm not sure what would be considered the "Good" Kamelot songs. I would really appreciate your help in directing me to more songs, or perhaps more songs of this kind from others as well :)
Thanks for reading this, enjoy the holidays!
+Gungho73 Thank you for your kind words and I'm sorry for the late reply.
Actually Kamelot is one of my most favourite bands so it's hard for me to choose between their songs, but I'll give it a try :P
Before I do that though I think I should tell you than Roy Khan, who is singing this song left the band a few years ago. Kamelot's current vocalist is Tommy Karevik and he is singing in the last two albums "Silverthorn" and "Haven" in case you would like to check them out. Quite known songs from these albums that I also like are the songs "my confession" and "liar liar".
Apart from that this song is from the album "black halo" (which I adore) and "center of the universe" is from the album "epica". Actually black halo is epica's sequel.
Some songs that I love from these albums are "Farewell" ,"On the Coldest Winter Night", and "Lost and Damned" from epica and "The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)", "Abandoned" and "The Black Halo" from the black halo.
"Ghost Opera" is also a very nice album from where I like "Rule the World", "The Human Stain" and "The Pendulous Fall".
You should also check out "The Great Pandemonium" from the album "Poetry for the Poisoned", "Karma" from the album "Karma" and "A Sailorman's Hymn" from the album "The Fourth Legacy".
I'm sorry if it's too long, it was hard for me to choose :P
I hope it was helpful. Feel free to ask me anything again if you want^^
Gungho73 anything from Black Halo is good and Karma is good too
Gungho73
Check out Memento Mori, its my favorite song by them
Wow they have a LOT of content!
I can give you a playlist of kamelot Faust: epica and the black halo
Pure power
Great song!!!
Vocals are actually done by both Roy Khan and Shagrath
I AM THE URGE OF THE FLESH
I was mad about the part at 3:25 being cut off for the music video version so I'm here now.
rock gods are better than rap gods.
+Michael Alingod | agree
Metal gods are the best bro
your goddamn right
this comment is so true i cant even agree more
No such thing as "rap gods"
This song is so confusing but I LOVE IT!!!
You have a conscious that's why listen to it
Jesus Christ that intro 🤘
Dude!! Best rendition of song the fucking guitar solo is in it!!
Ao No Exorcist, Mephisto Pheles brought me here. :) Anybody else?
SSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaammmmeee
Mephisto is bae ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Death the Kid 666 I had heard this song first way back in 2010, but then fell out of listening to Kamelot for a few years. After watching and reading Ao no Exorcist I was like oh right, this song exists! A nice re-listen and I feel like this could work even for that Mephisto and his darker nature.
True
I always thought he said 'Wearing your sorrow'... Hmm.
Overhyped adrenaline junkie metalhead me:" *AD INFINITUM* "
nerdy pop culture loving troll me: "...and beyond😂"

Their is a new band called Earendel. Do you think you could do some of their song if you can find them?
I'll see what i can do ;-)
I did it! Sorry for the delay... I hope you like it:)
Rockwell185 Thanks!
I think this song is inspired by Mephistofeles in Gete's Faust. Am I mistaken?
Yes. The whole albums Epica and The Black Halo were
***** Probably also inspired by Gete :-)
V B I don’t really know anything, would you please explain who is Mephisto o:?!
V B o:!!!
@@MyBloodyLips read the wikipedia article on the album
I speaketh , is it gramatically correct ?
Old English such as the words maketh, giveth, taketh. I think it sounds great in this song.
It's "I speak of the truth"
Lenixion No, it’s not.
WandaVision brought me here.
wait what American. .....good music ? American. ....good music ....thought that died in the 90s
They had a norwegian vocalist (now a swedish one), that's probably why it's good :p
You can listen the NIGHTCORE version of KAMELOT - MARCH OF MEPHISTO : czcams.com/video/itQZSwEt0eo/video.html

Uhh...duh?
ALL HAIL MADARA UCHIHA
Didthey just copy those phrases from the bible?
I doubt it. Mephistopheles isn't actually a biblical figure, and this is about the Faust story
No
