- It was on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC that Cosmic Country received the supreme pleasure to open the show for Widespread Panic. This has been our largest venue and audience to date that we have had the opportunity to play for. This song isn’t out yet, but it’s coming out soon on a new record set for release this fall. This night lives on forever with steadfast light and eternal gratitude in my mind, heart, and soul.

I have seen CC as the headline act and they were terrific, so I'm always conflicted when a band like this opens the show for someone else. I hope the experience doesn't discourage them. Half the crowd hasn't arrived yet, but if you watch the crowd it slowly dawns on them that this is a band worth listening to-- not just someone meant to make the headliner look good.

I noticed all the empty seats too... It pays to come early enough to catch the opening band... The slow-pokes missed out on a good one... Another video comes to mind... Awhile back, Sierra Ferrell opened for Ray Lamontagne in Los Angeles and you could see and hear in the vid, hardly anyone was there.... Like WTF? These people missed out on one of the best acts going right now.... Their loss.....
@@CorneiliusLibowitz I just bought tickets to Greensky at Redrocks specifically because Sierra is opening for them.
@@aaront879 You prolly already know this, but a few years ago, Billy Strings opened for them at RR..... From what i could tell, Strings outshined them....and has been headlining RR the past coupla years....

@@projectmoon13his bassist has the strongest voice, but I feel his vibrato high pitch fits the psyche country sound.
@@taylorpelletier89 it’s weak at best. His keyboardist is amazing and can probably sing way better.
What do you need? I’d say create for yourself and leave others alone.
