I prefer 6 prongs, I think it makes the diamond 💎 look rounder personally. I have a 2.5 round brilliant set with 6 prongs in a classic Tiffany setting and I love ❤️ it!
6 prong you can see more metals than diamond. I mean it’s hide the diamond the 6 prong. Maybe 5 carats or larger would good for 6 prong. I like more the 4 prong with cathedral setting if 2 carats
How do you feel about a 4 prong with an Oval diamond without the basket? I saw one the other day and it looked amazinnnnng. It looked like it was just floating! Do you think this style would have less durability as it has the basket missing and only supported by the 4 prongs?? Lovely chanel btw!

Agreed. In something 2 carats and up I want to see the stone, and not much else.
Love the cathedral setting but an oval instead of round. So delicate and the diamond just seems so much more alive than a flatter setting.
