The black guy on the far right is Kevin Olusola. As far as I can tell, he's the best beatboxer on the planet. *How* does he do it, you ask? I haven't the foggiest. There's a theory that he eats drum kits for breakfast, but even that doesn't seem to explain it.
Kevin also has a beautiful voice, plays both cello and saxophone, and, oh yes, beatboxes while playing the cello. He calls it celloboxing. I don't believe he's figured out how to beatbox while playing the saxophone, but I wouldn't put it past him. The man is brilliant. He graduated from Yale pre-med before he decided to join Pentatonix instead of becoming a doctor, and he speaks five languages, including Mandarin.

    3. "Mary Did You Know" and "Drummer Boy" (Xmas covers)
If you want to jam out to club mixes by the same 5 voices listen to their medleys:

Avi, the original bass singer, left for personal reasons in 2017 (he was dealing with bouts of anxiety due to the group's hectic touring and recording schedules, and his mother had just gotten diagnosed with cancer...fortunately she has recovered). Avi has since gone on to an amazing solo career. Matt...white jacket...was brought in to replace him in early 2018. Matt was an actual Pentaholic, and becoming a member was his dream come true, and he's been a fantastic addition to the group. I know you just reacted to another cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Well...the Pentatonix version blows that version away!! You also need to check out their Daft Punk medley. Recorded and shot on a shoestring budget before they got their current record deal, it ended up winning them their first Grammy and became their first world-wide hit. Both of these are completely mind-blowing!

Anything before Fall of 2017 will be Avi Kaplan (who left for family reasons which he couldn't handle with their hectic tour schedule -- on good terms). From Christmas 2017 through the present, it's Matt Sallee doing the bass. Just a note: whenever the bass is singing lead, Scott (the tall blond fellow) covers the bass. Mitch (second singer with the mullet) and Kirstie (the lady, obviously) change their looks often -- hair color, clothing styles, hair cuts (or wigs), and weight. Mitch was much heavier from late 2012 to mid 2013. Then, in 2015-2016 he was really thin. However, his voice has always been a true gift from God.

If you want to be just totally *blown away* ... try _"Bohemian Rhapsody"_ and listen as Mitch does a *screaming* guitar solo - *with his mouth!* It shows him using a bullhorn in the video, but he doesn't need it; in concert he doesn't use the prop, just opens his mouth and *blasts away!*
Oh, I will just *bet* that listening to their _"90s Dance Medley"_ has you dancing! Am I right?!
For the same kind of vibe, but not quite so heavy on the 'get up and dance' feel, check out _"Daft Punk Medley"_ ... it won them the first of their *three* Grammys (so far)!
And for another one that'll 'take you back to church' (with a Christmas vibe), try out their rendition of _"Mary Did You Know?"_ ... like hearing a church choir singing in a cavern - and it was shot in a cave!
And you should give a listen to _"Say Something"_ - it's a dolorous anthem to a love that's crumbling, but not gone. So powerful! Might just make you think back, and 'remember when'!
    *Enjoy!*

In singing order - Scott (Baritone, covers the bass when Matt or Avi sing lead), Mitch (Counter-Tenor), Matt (Bass), Kirstin (Mezzo-Soprano), Kevin (Beatboxer, Tenor, Cello, pretty sure he's not human lol) Yes the guy with the beard, Avi, left in 2017. The constant touring/producing, etc became too much for him. Plus his mom was sick at the time and he wanted to be with her. Matt joined shortly thereafter. Hallelujah and Little Drummer Boy (another you should react to) were a couple of the first ones that really made a big splash. I think that they really are a testament to the fact that you can do anything you set your mind to., When they were dropped by their first record label, they had just moved to California and decided they had to figure out a way to make "this" work, and they did. You have so much in store for you in the PTX rabbit hole. And there is another rabbit hole called Home Free! Nearly all of us Pentaholics are also Home Fries! Welcome to the wild wonderful world of acapella! We don't need no stinkin' instruments!

The Prayer.. I have been a Pentaholic for 10 years. Scott, Mitch & Kirstie are from my hometown. They've been together since middle school choir.

To hear ones that make you emotional, listen to "Run to You" and "Imagine". For fun ones, listen to "Come Along" and "Aha, Singapore, Star Vista". If you want to hear them sing in other languages, they sing in French in "Papaoutai" and Japanese in "Perfume Medley" and Korean in "Gangnum Style". For originals written by them, listen to "Love Again" and "Sing" and "Be My Eyes". They've won 3 Grammys in 2015, 2016, and 2017 with "Daft Punk Medley", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", and Jolene (accompanied by Dolly Parton). And, Pentatonix is nearly synonymous with Christmas as they have several Christmas albums now. Really, you can't go wrong no matter what you listen to. At some point, you should go back to their beginnings and watch the whole Sing Off, Season 3 series and watch their climb to fame. Welcome, fellow Pentaholic!

    The Sound of Silence
"The Sound of Silence", originally "The Sounds of Silence", is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over several months in 1963 and 1964.Wikipedia ☺️👏👏👏👏

The guy with the beard is Avi Kaplan. He stepped away from PTX to spend more time with his family. But he's still active. He does solo , and a collaboration with home free. He also does the odd song with PTX still. The ultimate bass.

Please react to their 'PTX World Tour 2019' and 'World Tour 2020' that shows a look behind the scenes of their tour they mention in the outro. Fun to watch. Unfortunately the pandemic cut their 2020 tour short. Also, check out songs 'Attention' and "Havana'.

I so miss The Sing Off!!! It is where we hear only voices, and where Pentatonix came from! And YES, they sound exactly like this live. I've seen them twice. The second time, my sister had never heard of them and had no clue what I was taking her to. Needless to say, she's a fan.

Want to watch one of their videos with a lot of views? Try their "Daft Punk"" medley, which has even MORE views. (It also has a Grammy award.) If you wonder about the sounds they make without instruments, check that one. You will find Avi (their first bass singer) in that one. Matt joined in 2017 when Avi had to leave for family issues. It was an amicable departure, though. In fact, he helped the group find a replacement.
