Katherine Jenkins from Believe Live from the O2. I've included a short commentary discussing the performance at the end. Can be purchased: www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_...
I think she's good in singing and attractive, however, too often intake of breath made me feel not good...maybe she doesn't have a long breath unfortunately, to keep her keep singing through even one bar..
If you had ever tried to dance while singing you would understand how unreasonable the criticism is. Just try running a couple of km and in the middle of it burst into song remembering to only breathe at the correct points. See how far you get.
Thanks for the upload. I admire her attempt, however I have a few problems with it, the dancer in the red corset seemed to be upstaging her A LOT, she felt more like Carmen than Jenkins. I won't compare Jenkins to another Opera singer, because I know she isnt a real opera singer. This performance wasn't bad, but however it felt plain. I've seen Carmen many times before and perhaps I make this judgment because I've seen performances that were superior to this not only in appearance and choreography, but in singing as well. Jenkins is a great singer for pop music, I feel opera is not her comfort zone.
But you are misguided: she is a classically trained opera singer, not a pop singer. It is called cross over when you want to move from opera to a more popular music, that is a music for the mob...
Great performance there is a lively fantastic than are watching a dream.
Magnifique! Mercy bien!

She is a blonde beauty, and with effort to perform. However, it does not really feel like Carmen, there is not exotic and Gypsyin it.
Why did you feel a need to say something as trivial as that?
