This video offers some options for beginner violinists and fiddlers on the often daunting task of finding an instrument to buy. I often get asked in my CZcams comments "Can you tell me a good brand of violin to buy?", and the answer to that question is less straight forward than it would otherwise be for other instruments. My answer is to go to a reputable local violin shop or music store and get advice from those people who know what they're talking about. So that's what I've done for you here!
In this video with Brandon we discuss the options of buying student model instruments or renting instruments, such as the program Brandon has at his Violin Shop where you can get a rental package to try out and build up equity with the shop towards a purchase if you decide you want to keep learning and own an instrument.
