      @SheenSlings thank you I have got the dream now however when I put my daughter in it, she starts coughing and then spits up is this normal first or am I doing it too tight? If yes how loose should it be

    Great comparison review. You've helped me decide which one to invest in :) But in terms of a cooler summer carrier, which ones would you recommend?

    3:04 This was a great tip!
    How are you comparing this (Omni Dream) vs the Tula Free to Grow (or Tula Explore)?
    Thanks again for this video! Loved it and was very helpful!

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před rokem +2

      So the Omni Dream and the Tula Explore are very similar in a lot of ways - both soft cotton, both quite a lot of padding at the shoulders and wide supportive waistbands. Both have the same mechanism for converting between innerwards and outwards facing, similar head support and similar width adjustments. Which makes alot of sense as they are both owned by the same parent company. But they differ in some key ways - the waistband on the Tula is wider and straighter and the shoulder straps only offer the H position but are easier/less fussy to tighten. I do have a video review of teh Tula Explore which is well worth watching as you'll see the differences and similarities from that. Hope that helps! I do hire both out and do retail both so if you wanted to try before you buy please do get in touch!

      @@SheenSlings Thank you! Unfortunately I live in another country than you do :/ Otherwise I would have loved that!
      Which one do you prefer yourself?
      I have a Ergobaby Embrace sling right now that me and my girlfriend love.
      She is smaller and I watched your video and though that the Tula Explorer (or Tula Free to grow) would be a bit to bulky on her (she's quite smal) but would you say that is an issue in general for women with the Tulas? The hip-band is what I'm thinking of.
      At the end of the day, which one did you use the most/felt was more easy to use and felt better for longer carry (say 1-2 hours).

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před rokem +1

      @@swekiwi4517 I didn't use either personally! Neither give me a great fit compared to other brands. But what I used is irrelevant because that was based on my body shape and size. The one I would recommend would be the one that fits you both the best. For very petite parents I find the KahuBaby carrier and the Beco Gemini give a far better fit than the more bulky Ergo and Tula.
      PS I do have a new video on this channel directly comparing the ergo and tula which went up on Monday hopefully you can see that too
      If you do decide to buy something I do sell internationally but if you can find someone local to you offering the chance to try on I would definitely do that. And if you wanted to you can help support this channel here - www.buymeacoffee.com/sheenslings

    Hi I’m very petite a bit less then 5 feet. Would you recommend the dream over the Omni 360? In terms of price the Omni is quite a bit cheaper but if the dream will fit me better then it’s worth it

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před 10 měsíci

      The omni dream would be likely to offer you a better fit than the omni 360 but in all honestly I'd say probably neither would fit you well. Neither work well for very petite parents. Instead take a look at the Beco Gemini and the Kahu Baby.... these would be far more likely to give you a great fit. I offer postal hires of these if it helps so you can try before you buy.

    hi! i would prefer cotton, but what is your opinion, will the cotton version wear off faster then a mesh?

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před rokem +2

      I couldn't answer this at the time, but now have been able to! Definitely the cotton wears faster than the mesh. Time and long term hires have given me this answer!

  • @nancywagenbrenner6611

    Is it correct that the omni breeze has a zipper on the privacy hood, however the omni dream has no zipper on the privacy hood? Is that right?

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před rokem +4

      Hi! There isn't a zipper on the hood. Rather the pocket that the privace hood folds into on the carrier has a zipper on the Breeze. While on the dream the pocket it folds into isn't zippered. Just an "open" pocket. Or least nothing closes the pocket. But in both cases the pocket is under where the neck support sits so you actually don't see the pocket and the presence or absence of that zipper the majority of the time. I hope that makes sense and answers your question

    Hey! I want to buy a woven wrap to front carry and back carry my almost 3 year old. I’m a dress size 8/10/12 uk. I’m 5 foot 7 inches and about 10 stone in weight. Woven wraps are obviously not cheap and so I want to buy a woven wrap to last my whole child wearing journey. I would like to use the wrap with my next baby as a newborn and also with my current daughter until she is about 7 years old or until she no longer wants to be in a wrap. I was wondering what size I should buy. I thought the size 9 so it never gets too small but then of course when Im wearing the newborn there will be lots of extra fabric. What do you think? What size? Also there’s no wrap library’s near me. Thanks

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před 2 lety +1

      From what you describe I would say a size 6 would give you the most versatility. I am a size 10/12 UK, 5 foot 7 and 10.5 stone and would use a size 6 for a new born and can still very comfortably carry my 5 year old (who is in age 6-7) clothes in a size 6. There are many back carries that can be done with shorter sized wraps so even though she needs more length I can still use a size 6 very comfortably with her. Are you based in the UK? If so there are many libraries including my own that offer postal hires if you wanted to hire and try before you invest in one of your own

      @@SheenSlings thank you so much for replying! I trust your knowledge! I currently have been using a stretchy wrap with my daughter who’s 2.5 years old. She’s about 32lbs. The stretchy wrap was given to me as a gift but I measured it and it’s a little over 5 metres which is a size 7 if I’m correct? This size works fine for us now. So if a size 7 is okay in a stretchy wrap will it be the same size in a woven wrap? And when she’s 6 and 7 years old, will the size 7 still be plenty length to do very supportive carry’s going twice and even three times around the body for maximum support ?
      Also I wonder if this size 7 will be too much tail for when I carry my next newborn ? I’d rather only buy one wrap for all uses if I can as they’re quite pricey ! Thanks again!

      @loisharvey502 Před 2 lety

      @@SheenSlings also with your size 6 are you still able to carry your 5 year old using 2 or 3 wraps around your bodies for maximum support or can you only do single layers ?

    • @SheenSlings
      @SheenSlings  Před 2 lety

      @@loisharvey502 its hard to compare stretchies and wovens because you use them differently. Yes most stretchies are 5m but I would still recommend a size 6.
