That's what happens when you don't research a culture before you go there for vacation.
There’s no way three people spent time in a small room and never touched those sliding doors even just out of curiosity
i know your comment is a year old, but. Hank actually thought it was a door when they first got there, peggy claimed she did a ton of research and assured him that it was just a wall, told him to stop messing with it or they would get in trouble.
The comments will tell you this is a real thing that happens to people
Sir I need to inform you that it’s a tv show and not real life, and I also need to inform you that similar situations have 100% happened in real life. On average, people are supremely stupid.
If Peggy wasn't being so egotistical, then they would've had a far nicer experience at their hotel room.
Obvious chipmunk is obvious
Egotistical is the only thing Peggy can be.
When the doors look exactly like the walls...
That's why it's really important to get some knowledge of the country you're visiting especially with the customs, the living situation, and how to be a respectful tourist
If anyone wants to know what’s like to be a dungeon master in DnD when you’re party is stupid, this is it. This is what it’s like!😆
Listen, we're sorry. Sometimes we just wanna talk to the local cabbage merchant and investigate his home to plan a cabbage heist instead of visit the evil wizard's tower patrolled by golems and defeat evil
Basically the entire party or family in this case completely failed their perception check. And every time they went into the room, they had the chance to roll perception and failed every time.
GANTZ100pts 😂Exactly! Or let’s say there’s a door. Your barbarian runs head first into it. Your Wizard uses one of their spell slots on it This continues until the bard has the common sense to TURN THE FUCKING DOOR KNOB!!🤦♂️
@@summer2011leggo Bards? Common sense? I know there are dragons about, but those two things together are pure fantasy!
quizzlie 🤔 the cleric then? Who is known for having high wisdom?
The scene still makes me uncomfortable to this day. A perfect King of the Hill scene
Hank should have said "Dang it, Peggy!"
I was internally screaming The first time I've seen this episode (SLIDE THE DOOR!!!)
this actually hurts my chest when I watch this..
I love the fact that Kung fu cane; David Carradine, is Japanese hank hill
The sitting room was pretty much the size of my hotel room in Tokyo.
The sitting room was the size of my apartment in New York.
@@alexanderrosales7675 Damn, that's probably one of the *biggest* apartments in NYC then.
@@alexanderrosales7675 check out fancy pants McMillionaire with the huge New York apartment.. what, you think you're better than me?!
Thats happened to me. I didnt realize that there was another room in my hotel room for my whole vacation lol.
I always wonder how the hotel staff reacted when they went to clean the room and found it and the welcome basket completely untouched.
Hank: Peggy, you made us slept in here for two nights
Peggy: well, I thought it was the whole room
Hank: *mind speak* I wonder if her sky diving accident is making her IQ drop. Could have asked
Lol😂
I legit recall seeing a video on here explaining that Peggy's behaviors throughout the show actually did seem to change around the time after the Sky Diving accident episode.
@@DB8ed holy shit, _yes_. and i thought i was one of the only people to notice.
i don't remember Peggy being infuriating until _after_ the sky diving incident. that theory has some possible weight
@@darkpinkgirl6684 there was definitely things before, but yeah it got worse post skydiving. truth is, I think she just went through flanderization
@@zibix4562 Still, for an in universe reason? It works pretty well
"There's a window in the closet." *slides open door*
I actually totally called this the first time i watched it
To this day it genuinely aggravates me what they missed out on, that room is so nice
I’ve always been thinking of this scene for years and I’m glad CZcams recommended it. Love king of the hill
*Seinfeld theme intensifies*
there is a rule about japanese hotels.
Always check their slide doors.
@makutamaster i know. but it's then push and pull a door
@makutamaster
Imagine hating doors
@makutamaster
Lmao so youve been to medieval times and seen sliding doors? Dude they're doors. Doors that you probably don't come across. Doors that probably aren't in your mom's house. So why the big fuss?
@makutamaster Sliding doors are everywhere. They're just usually made of glass or covered with a mirror in the west.
@makutamaster But their design has been used for centuries and have utility, they block direct line of sight but allow outside light and air to pass through.
I could say glass windows don't belong in the 21st century because the Romans used them.
I wish that we had seen more of Junichiro. The contrast between how he reacted to the Hills at the start of their knowing each other, to him offering to him his sister inlaw with the bags just tugs at my heart.
The piece of the puzzle where they missed the entire room is forever lost.
At first I refused to believe they actually spent the whole vacation in the sitting room
You underestimated Peggy's ignorance!
