This has to be one of, if not the best, cover of Bob Dylan's masterpiece.
I just discovered this performer. What an amazing voice, angelic!

Beautiful version on this Memorial Day 2019. Nothing has changed thus far. I believe we can use your voice an an antidote to war.
Although many antidotes don't work. But try it. Maybe it'll work. Like snake oil. But at least the label looks good and promises a lot. Hasn't there always been war from ancient to modern times? In every land, every culture? But dream on. (And always be ready for war while praying for peace.)
@@bubbalong7646 There was a documentary a few years back where they found a few of the remaining hunter gatherer groups of people and neither group of them not only had no concept of war but no name for it.
It's not in our nature (or at least not in everyone's), it's taught.

This rendition is so beautifully haunting. Something in it takes me back to an unclear memory. The chord changes are mesmerizing. I heard Judy Collins do this song back in the sixties. It took hold of me and has never left. I believe Connie's version invokes ancient places and times.

Not always easy to capture the mood of a Dylan song, this version has done that and some.

Just found this right now and I'm glad to have found this jewel. Although the original tone is completely different, this is just magnificently performed.
This shows a more sorrow and somber side to Dylan's song. I just don't have the words to describe the vocals.

Hounting song, hounting version. Was my beloved when I played with guitar in past when hiking in 1971. I heard first time not B. Dylan but concert version by Jose Feliciano and it was send by Radio Caroline. Still have this recorded then in magnetic tape. I would say all versios are hardly comparable but that concert version by J Feliciano sounds like that.

This is the Yin to Dylan's Yang of this song. Clever.
good version! very cool to hear a current musician tackling quality material like Bob's, and sound like they actually mean it... I'm a musician and song writer and fan of Bob's work for many years and I find most people covering his songs unlistenable - they're great songs, how can you mess them up? usually because they're either boring or sound shallow or without conviction, or just missing something - the personality or attitude or spirit of the original artist or version ... The Byrds did a pretty great job on a few (though a few misses, after hearing the CD full of their Bob songs) but they're great artists in their own right. Mark Arm did "Masters of war" also, which is quite good in a different way.
Anyway this is one of the few Bob Dylan covers I think is listenable and good! Nice job keep up the good work and post some original songs (song writing is a lost art these days!)
My favourite Dylan cover is (beside Connie's) is Father of Day, Father of Night by Manfred Mann's Earth Band (the 10 minute long version from the Solar Fire album).
Eddie Vedder does a good cover of this song too at the 30th anniversary concert
