Please I have 2 questions. 1) on a single trip, how many hours can the camera record continuously with a 512gb/256gb? And can all four cameras continue recording when it’s parked?
2) if the N5 is hardwired to a car, does it have the ability to shut off by itself when the car battery is at a certain voltage in order to prevent the battery from dying?

Hi Rick, Vantrue sent us the Camera to try and keep. (Hence the product placement flag on the video)
We will be continuing to use it in my daughter's car that didn't have a dashcam previously.
We have a Nextbase 522GW and a Pruveeo F5 in our other vehicles (which you can see in our video review here czcams.com/video/JMI4aJLnUi4/video.html) If either of these failed I would pick the Vanture over replacing them with the same models currently.

Can you go over how you access the videos via WiFi? I’ve always been concerned about how to access the videos if someone were to steal my vehicle.
Hi WiFi is used as the way for the camera to communicate with the App while you are near the camera, for downloading footage and changing settings.
It’s not a way to access the camera remotely.

Hello, thanks for the video. Is there a way to connect the dashcam to an old smartphone with a hotspot with LTE? So that you can connect to the dashcam while you're on the move in parking mode and watch live.
Not that I am aware of I am afraid.
The WiFi only acts as a host to connect to for downloading and making changes to settings using rhe App, rather than being able to connect to a hotspot.

@@For-You6 It can but it needs to be wired for constant power. Vantrue sells a wiring harness that plugs into your OBD II slot for just this purpose.

Hi William, the Accessory socket on the vehicle we have it in switches off when the ignition goes off so it is drawing no power at all once parked. The camera has a SuperCapacitor which allows is to continue to run for a short while after to save the final file and shut down correctly.
If it were wired to a permanent live and the Parking / Motion detection active than it would continue to use a small amount of power once parked.

Did you say you were installing this for your daughter? Why would you want the front-rear facing camera viewed down on the breast area like that ?like that!? Weird! Surely you should have it facing up to record face to show your awareness if you used mirror etc….
Wow that’s a very pervy observation, didn’t even cross my mind, a little worried it crossed yours.
Two reasons for the positioning:
1) camera unit is completely hidden behind mirror so doesn’t risk any distraction.
2) it records use of gears / indicators / hand brake / phone use / other distractions etc. the kind of things a newly qualified driver might fall foul of.
Also not really an issue as Daughter is the one with the App on her phone so no one else gets to see it unless she wants / needs to prove something.
i apologise I could have worded it “below shoulders” sorry I struggle with my words sometimes.. I’m autistic sorry - I mean weird as in unusual you wouldn’t have vthe eyes on camera to show awareness to maybe an insurance company if in an accident. sorry I didn’t mean to cause any offence thank you for your reply
