This story is actually really sad. Original humanity is wiped out by their own creations, because they cannot recognize them as fellow creatures. Ragna's friends all forget about him. Even Terumi the Mad Snake King, you can argue was just jaded from watching the universe be destroyed and recreated infinite times and just wanted a world where nobody could mess with him. The only people who know what really happened are Ragna and The Origin, and they cannot interact with the other characters anymore.
Ok your right for the most part. Except terumi though, he wasn’t jaded from it. Hell that’s exactly what he wanted to torture the master unit. Have it make something before he beats it to nonexistence for all eternity.
My god I knew that series had a confusing timeline but you guys actually explained it in a way that made sense.
Ragna probably has one of the saddest backstories of all time.

Would love to see more coverage of the BlazBlue or Guilty Gear series lore. Most people don’t go near it, and I feel you all would do it justice.
As convoluted as the story was in the beginning, I kind of started piecing together some of the things that was happening and understood that a lot of it was alternate timelines. I think it was a little easier for me to piece together thanks to the legacy of Kain series. You guys helped me understand a little more now. Dying is one thing, but being forgotten in order to save creation is another matter entirely. Still hard to see that ending without feeling a little emotional 😞
Also I commend you guys for having to go through parts of the story without going insane lol
I dunno that I would call "being the child of one of the previously mentioned Prime Field Devices who was a clone of a girl from another dimension named Saya Terumi, the biological sister of Naoto Kurogane, who is in turn an alternate universe version of Ragna (to the point that him even being in the same dimension as Ragna risks the possibility of his existence overwriting Ragna's own), and Ragna and his siblings basically being lab experiments until Jubei broke them out and gave them to his human sister-in-law (who had fallen in love with adult Ragna while he was acting as Bloodedge in his future and her distant past), where she gave them a relatively happy life in the church that she was living as a nun for like a year before Terumi got around to burning the place to the ground, murdering the nun, and kidnapping Jin (Says apparently got possessed by the hatred of the Origin at that point and gave Jin the sword that drove him mad and made him cut off Ragna's arm)" is really a normal family life.
Technically, Prime Field Device #5 was a clone of this timeline's version of Saya Terumi, who in the timeline of the games was killed by Naoto before the Black Beast showed up. Because Naoto killed Saya, Clavis Alucard killed Naoto. Killing Naoto involved killing over 100k people, which started Clavis down the path of losing his role as the Onlooker (which was later passed to Rachel), just like Rachel begins losing her role as the Onlooker due to using Tsukuyomi to save Ragna at the end of Calamity Trigger.
Sounds like an average day to me! 🤣

Well done. This is one of the most accurate summaries of Ragna's story I've seen. Still, there are a handful on inaccuracies.
Ragna Jin and Saya were not ever a normal family; they were born by mating a small-scale, controllable black beast with a Boundary Prime Field Device (#5, to be specific, who was a clone of a woman from before the current timeline's war with the Black Beast). In addition, the original Black Beast from the original timeline is implied to be the original timeline's version of Ragna.
EDIT: It's also implied that Ragna removes the Origin's soul from the Master Unit, effectively killing any part that hadn't already merged with Noel. After this, he either took her place as the Master Unit's Pilot, or merged with the Azure itself, locking the Master Unit (now rendered pilotless and therefore only capable of observing, much like the AI system Takamagahara) so deep within the Boundary that humanity will never be able to find it again.
It's pronounced as "Blaze_Blue" even the japanese katakana is written as : "burei buru"

This channel is one of the few that actually does a DECENT job of summarizing the core events of the plot , which is no easy feat considering how CONVOLUTED the story is as a whole, with other channels giving out wrong information about the story. Just for that you get a like from me!

I've been aware of this series and the shinanigans that go on in it for a while, but this is the only time I've ever heard of the Origin and anything having to do with it.

Yeah, I don’t like how people call BlazBlue a guilty gear spin-off. This is not a guilty gear spinoff, BlazBlue looked at I-no and the back yard and said “hold my shrooms bro”

Despite Ragna, Jin, and Noel being an artificial human, much like guilty gear, it’s easy to tell ethnicity unlike most anime and games which is very annoying since virtually all guys and girls look like Californian men and women, but Ragna definitely looks American, Jin looks Japanese, and Noel looks European.
Hit me with that Control lore boys! I need it bad!

For clarification for future videos, here are how these mispronounced words and/or names are actually pronounced in the game/lore:
Blazblue:Blaze-Blue(not blaaz-blue)
Saya:Sai-ya (not Saeya)
Terumi: some pronounce it as Teroomi, some say Terumi with not as much emphasis on the U
Wow you guys just did entered one of the most confusing lore of games i have seen. You guys should take a look at Guilty Gear and the main character Sol Badguy. Same company that makes the blazblue series. I think it's just as confusing but i like Guilty Gear more because of all the rock reference and crazy side characters.

Roughly speaking there are four criteria:
1. Make sure that the person requesting the lore topic hasn't been the only person requesting several recently done topics. (If the same people are in topics with several requests that's fine, but we try not to have the same person be the only one requesting multiple lore videos in a row).
2. Determine based upon prior knowledge, presumption and/or quick google search whether or not there is enough information to actually make an entire video on.
3. Make sure its not a topic from a series we did a video in the previous week. Sometimes we'll dive into a series and do several videos in that series, but when we do so, we always make sure to space the videos out every other week so that we have something different to spice things up.

@@TrueMastersandMorons The Personas themselves seem like a good first topic, maybe also cover other cognitive beings (Philemon, Nyarlathotep, Igor, Velvet Siblings, etc.) each game's party (SEES, Investigation Team, Phantom Thieves, etc.) and the various mental worlds/phenomena (Power of Rumor, Dark Hour, TV World, Metaverse) as later topics.
Also, don't leave out Carl Jung being portrayed as an early Persona user. Really clever way of Atlus bringing the inspiration full circle.

Death Battle explained in the laziest, memish way that fans tend to explain games like Blazblue.
Honestly, that is one of my least favorite episodes from them, being a huge fan of both series and always wanting a Death Battle between the two.
