After seeing a lot of these comments, I want to clarify a few things. I did not build this roller coaster, rather I live very close to where it was located and know the guy who built it personally.
This ride was safe, and he made sure to test it and keep it running properly through the years. There were certain height and weight requirements to ride in order to make sure everyone was as safe as possible.
Finally, this ride was recently retired and relocated to a place in Ohio called "Haunted Hoochie" where I do not believe it will ever run publicly, but is there as sort of a decoration to pay homage to this famous ride.
@Monty Dimmick congrats
You call this a "ride"? Yeah, maybe a ride to the local funeral parlor! 🙄
Sad that they had to retire such a masterpiece
Good job man
Your so lucky
The speed of it down the hill looks insane
It feels super fast!
@@Coaster_Focus did you grey out ? xD Seems more brutal in the turn after the drop than Intimidator 305.
Its sped up
@@Pumkin-q1zIt's not...
That first dip looks like an instant ticket to the chiropractor office.
And that loop
Snowflakes! Maybe if you're are weak bitches that never exercise or do anything but stare at screens!
This is my favorite ride at this park

You know there is actually another at this house?
Imagine being this persons neighbor
Kentucky Wildcats Fan But wood he let u???
Now the ride is gone, so..he wouldn't be able to let you ride it, since he sold it and now the ride is in Ohio.
Dale Earnhardt Senior W UT
see imma louisville fan so you wouldnt even be my neighbor
Damn i would ask the neighboor to ride it
I will always be more impressed with these than gigantic world record breaking coasters. There’s just something so cool and fun about building a roller coaster yourself, even if it’s not a engineering marvel
Ahh... True freedom is when you can build a roller coaster in your back yard and give people rides on it. This is totally awesome!! I love farmers. They are some of the best and brightest, hardest working, fun loving, down-to-earthy people you will ever meet. God bless them all. The last image of true Americana at its best. 😉
So true. All the snowflakes in the comments.
@@judeodomhnaill9711 There are no snowflakes in the comments, and what does that have to do with the comment
I love my country, but I hate the Trumpers in it.
God is fake

This has got to be the most intense “roller coaster” ever made, that drop and loop must have UNREAL forces
I was NOT expecting a loop
Wow it may be short but it looks really fun! This guy is super crafty and I give him the most respect!
That’s a killer coaster, nice job! The metal under the lift hill totally hides that awesome first drop and loop! If I had seen them first I might not have gotten on!
"I'm not going on Blue Flash - It isn't safe!"
Railfan Andrew actually, it’s very safe. And you can’t go on it anyway. It has since been retired
CoasterFocus I heard about their retirement. I’m actually wondering if it’s because of structural issues.
It’s most likely not due to structural issues. I believe it’s either he has run it for 18 years and is ready to be done, or the chain mechanism has gone through too much and is too expensive to replace
CoasterFocus Okay. I was just making rct jokes lol.
I just now got that 😂 I’m not much of an RCT guy. My bad lol
This is how I always imagined having a backyard coaster would be like lol
Awesome job on this homemade coaster. I am super impressed!
I appreciate it, but the credit goes to John Ivers, who actually built it in his backyard and allowed me to film a POV of it
I swear tbh this looks so intense i mean i ridden lots of way bigger coasters i ridden steel vengeance i ridden top thrill dragster i ridden 2 gigas 2 b&m dive coasters but this actually looks more scary than all of them (but TTD is pretty close)
Actually science backs you up
on this. The smaller the loop, the more rapidly forces change directions, so one that small will be really intense.
Taylor from Coaster Studios calculated it. The loop exerts 4.5Gs, about the same as Oblivion at Alton Towers.
@@Valhalla05 seems safe
If you went on those, then check out Eejanaika from FujiQ. Highly recommend!
@@Valhalla05 the thing is, theres also the jerk that plays a role on how comfortable the ride is. As acceleration is the change of the speed over time, jerk is the change of acceleration over time. So it would feel less comfortable if you went from 1-2 G's to 4,5 G's in a fraction of a second than going in a milder rate. Thats why enthusiasts hate Vekoma SLC's or togo's transistions
Steel looping coaster 3 looks too intense for me!
I appreciate this comment so much 🤣🤣 I hope people understand the reference 🎢
@@coltenfranklin5740 hahaha yessss!!!
Gotta love rct3
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I ended up in a neck brace just from watching that.
If I was the neighbor I would definitely need a good ol "Blue Flash" fix before each day 🔥🔥🔥
lmao the dude who make this video IS the neighbor! lol thats just precious
Man, I'm thiccer than those running rails, & that is saying a lot
The fact it is homemade is part of the thrill I guess... 😅
That took me by surprise I wasn't expecting that to go that fast.
That looks extremely fun.
This ride looks intense for being a backyard coaster!
I know this isn’t that fast, but it looks faster than formula rossa
It does! Lol probably because it's so small
Scarier than a theme park roller coaster because it just cannot be as safe!
I was already impressed when I saw the chain lift but when i saw the loop that just blew my mind
I was very impressed by it too! It was also super fun to ride
We need a vr camera version
U can watch it in vr
That is amazing he did a beautiful job making that roller coaster 😊💕💕
It’s nice to see a backyard coaster with a corkscrew/loop!
underrated theme park
Whoever rode this first, you my friend are a G
when i was 7 i began construction on my very own backyard coaster... i could see my amazing design perfectly in my head, i would be the coolest kid on the block!... long story short all i had was a busted pallet and some rubberbands so i ended up just burning the rubberbands with a lighter and throwing them at the pallet until i got bored after a couple minutes.
i absolutely did not expect there to be an inversion, but now i want to ride it even more
Blue flash is now on my bucket list
I didn't expect my life to Blue Flash across my eyes like that
This idea was conceived at 4:23 am, you can tell. Love it.
5 seconds of fun
wow lovely rollercoaster
On the next episode of 1,000 ways to die:
We take you behind the scenes for an up close and personal ride on "Blue Flash" you won't wanna miss it!
That all comes your way next on 1,000 ways to die!
@🍜✨Simply Ramen✨🍜 Oh yeah, super jealous that I can't come and gamble with my life! 👌
Haha! I immediately thought of Final Destination. The rollercoaster scene. YIKES!
So glad this popped up in my recommended again, this is amazing!
Reminds me of the movie 'Richie rich'. A boy that has his own rollercoaster in his backyard.
I love Six Flags new coaster
Auch nicht schlecht für eigene Achterbahn wer kann schon behaupten wenn man eine eigene Achterbahn hat echt geil gemacht 😂😂👍
Dude was literally like Iron Man in his back yard building this for his grandkids. He said when they built the loop, they tested it and just rode the seat off into the field lmao this would make a great Amazon movie... Ok maybe Lifetime channel movie but I dont think people watch Lifetime anymore.
I get the name blue flash. Because it is insanely fast. Great job.
I raised my hands up while watching this on a big screen 👍
That's cool! My compliments to the resident builder.

Tess Holliday shows up demanding to be let on it for a ride; Coaster and cart all collapse and fold into the shed as soon as she’s halfway up the lift hill 😂
Never seen someone make a backyard roller coaster this cool
You should check out will pemble’s backyard coasters! His ones are insane, and probably better than this.
Thats pretty cool for a homemade coaster-
Scary, but good job, lol-
Riding THE BLUE FLASH Famous Backyard Roller Coaster - Bruceville Indiana
He should have made it a little bit longer ride but then again is awesome
The ride lost its speed so quickly, it wouldn't have been able to make it through another element
I can't believe this old guy made a looping roller coaster
I
NEED
THIS
RIGHT
NOW
the skele rex fee is what i would not debate for then so the great
That lift hill looks vertical onride
i'm surprised u didn't even scream once it looks so fun and i love screaming on coasters!
I love your blue shoes!
only coaster that was scarier than blue streak at conneat lake park
My stomach went on the way down 😱 looks fun
head still attached? it worked!!
How did you make that! All I know that’s it’s awesome!
Love seeing this
Very short ride!!! Just like Turbulence at Adventureland Long Island New York which is 52 Seconds I believe
Next task would be making one even more kickass than Phineas and Ferb’s backyard roller coaster! 😝
Yeah! If only lol
The famous whiplash express.
"How To Endanger People's Lives And Expose Yourself To Legal Action". You are braver than I.
I would never trust some backyard amusement park ride, God knows what safety standards, or lack of, are applied here.
No amount of assurances from the owner would satisfy me that it was safe.
I would get on this but I’m terrified of the loop
This gave me og Mad Mouse flashbacks.
the g force on that dive loop
When the rise is supported by the side of an old barn with a flimsy metal trap door, you may wanna rethink your architects blueprints.
Actually, the shed was very well supported, and was a good idea to build on. Also, that's a skylight in the shed, which doesn't come into contact with the support of the ride.
Imagine what backyard coaster alan schilke might secretly have
The world's smallest I-BOX coaster.
this looks like a mini version of The Big One.
The Mini One, if you prefer.
That’s pretty cool! 😉👍🏻
It’s like a Wild Mouse ride!
This is incredible
Great thing to play on, and have fun with. Personally, I would stick some lube on the wheel barings, might make it run a little less noisily.
i really hope this guy studied physics with that loop 💀
still transitions better than anything togo could've built
It looks fun as hell!!!!
I like this ride
Legendary!
That's cool
I like when they go up and go back down
This is sick
This looks rough as hell! Looks fun though!
I wouldn't even go up to that attraction, with the tracks so bad that they seem broken
How fast is that, omg? Sth amazing! A rollercoaster - version 'house and garden' xD 😀
smh when people went out there, they shouldve gave this man 20 dollars per ride or something. Dude I read your comment you said you lived next to him, why dont you and him build another one? This is such a treasure and he is clearly talented. I hope he is doing well and I hope they are enjoying the ride where it was relocated.
He actually asked for donations, so when the group of us visited we did give him money! The reason we’re not building another one is because he’s retired and I’m moving somewhere else for a new job. But I might try to make one of my own in the future… I’m an engineer so who knows
@@Coaster_Focus good luck and blessing on your new job. Great video and great channel friend. Smooth sailing forward.
Looks great!
DanTehMan thanks!
That’s amazing
Scary. But fun.
The madman built a LOOP
