Costas "those are the eyes of a basketball assassin"; Isaiah Thomas reply "i've witness those eyes. ac couple of times before"
Man this was even a better series than what i recall of going on 20 years ago. I uses to think that the toughest opponent or the best match up against the bulls where either the 92-93 MVP Barkley lead team and or the the 92 Blazers team was also a really good challenge and match up for the bulls during their title run but i have to say now looking back in hindsight that their biggest challenge and or match up was the Utah Jazz.
That was a NASTY double pump, pivoting to the inside of the free throw line, nothing but net and the foul as Jordan takes a seat almost like admiring the majesty of of his own game and skill at the 6:39-42 mark.

MJ has said that the JAZZ were the toughest opponent. I agree with u I felt the BLAZERS were the toughest. Id say the SUNS but MJ averaged a whopping 41 points per game against them. This certainly was the toughest series if not the toughest team.

The Pacers in that same year’s (1998) Eastern Conference Finals took them to 7 games and had the Bulls on the ropes in Chicago during that last game. I was a nervous wreck as a kid during that entire game. In the end, the home crowd gave the bulls that extra motivation, and they survived. That was such a great series.

I was so relieved the Bulls won this game! Only two teams had come back from an 0-2 deficit in the Finals before this. I was upset they lost Game 1 because they expended so much energy in OT and came up short. This was a must-win!

Karl Malone really went full Mail Fraud in those three games. 14 for 41 at home...they lucked out after his 9 for 25 in Game 1. But in this game...the biggest of his life, Malone went 5 for 16. Then doesn't box out Steve fuckin' Kerr with a one point lead under a minute to go.

Jordan just abused horny & Stock throughout this series. However, out of all the spectacular plays by Jordan & Co. i would have to say the hustle play at 8:50 by lil' Steve Kerr got me out of my seat. So much attention was givin to MJ that players like Kerr were overlooked and always seemed to be at the right place at the right time. Maybe it's just me but hustle plays like that and others like Rodman diving for loose balls get me pumped. Great job highlighting that part of the game.

Somehow the Jazz turned losing at the end into an artwork. They were up 1 point with the ball with 1 minute left in the game. How do the Bulls score 8 points in less than a minute? If basketball games were 47 minutes long Utah would have won about 20 more playoff games and at least 3 NBA titles.

I also believe alot of it was blown out of proportion by the media. He made up for it more in the 2003 All Star game when he tried to put MJ in a position to win MVP at his last ASG. Chris Paul probably. Steve Nash was the best shooter of the 3 but his defense is the worst and he is the most turnover prone. Stockton was great but wasn't as good of a scorer as the two. Chris Paul is something special and has the chance to become the greatest point guard to ever play the game, if not the second greatest behind magic.
