Monster Seed Gameplay Final Boss - The Beast of Chaos

- This is the final boss fight of a niche PlayStation 1 video game called, "Monster Seed." Do not watch if you don't want to see spoilers.
The Beast of Chaos is pretty freakin' weird. I don't know who designed it, but it's pretty interesting. When I first faced the boss a few years ago, I was expecting some big monster, turns out it's just some alien thing. Oh, well. The boss is pretty easy too! The whole entire game was hard as hell until you reach the ending and it suddenly turns really easy. What a let down, although it could be because I summoned my strongest monsters so...
The name of the creatures I summoned in the video from order of appearance: Grandola, Maxicode, and Zua. I also summoned a Photif, but recovered it because I wanted to see if my Photif or Maxicode would summon first. You can only have three monsters under your control. - Hry
I love this game. Most of the battles come down to luck but in a somewhat controllable way
I remember getting this for my birthday by mistake because I forgot the name and told my mom I wanted something seed, so she got me this, After playing it I knew that this wasn't the game I wanted, the game I should of asked for were dragonseed.
But this were a great mistake, I had a great time with this game and will remember it.
I'm glad your Mom got you this game back then 'cause this game is so underrated it's funny. It's fun to know that a game you played as a child especially if it's rare like this game is on CZcams or something. :)

I'm glad too, After playing this for so many hours I forgot about Dragonseeds, I did get it many years later when I saw it at a store just sitting there so I ended up getting it.
It were a great game, but Monsterseed will always make me remember the good old days.
I'm not really sure why I started looking up videos, maybe because my birthday is in two more day and I started feeling nostalgia.
Anyway, Thank for the video, it made me remember a lot of stuff.

Oh that got a ending? I remember getting stuck in the story multiple times and later read that it had no ending. I may end up playing it again now that I know it does have an ending.

At its core? Nah. If anything kept me coming back for this game was its gameplay. I loved trying to figure what Seed made what monsters. I loved to see if I could produce a unique monster who could be made with one or two seeds. It's really such an amazing niche game. The only thing that made it truly bad was its dialogue/grammar IMO.

this was such a bad game at it's core but it also had loads of atmosphere and kept me intrigued at the time.

And yeah, it's underrated, gamefaqs gave it bad scores for some reason. :(
I'm replaying right now and so far I got 4 monsters, and their a Garidola (Rage), Randol (Spike), Angroo (Ember), and Ang-Oolia (Chaos). :p
Monster Rancher and Jade Cocoon are also underrated monster games I think, but at least MR has an anime I guess. :p If Dragon Warrior Monsters is underrated too, it at least has the main series.
Monster Seed and Jade Cocoon though... man. :(
I'd really love to see a fucking Lunar 3 and Dark Cloud 3... they don't make games like they used to. :(
Ang-Oolia are the most OP Early-game monsters in this game. It has the best spells in the game. Most of your party should consist of these cheap-os lol.
Garidolas is a great early-game monster as well with their strong attacks and reliability. Their status tolerance sucks though which is the unfortunate part about Garidolas. They get inflicted by like everything.
Randols are ok, but not recommended, Garidolas are preferred. They usually have pretty high Defense and Status Tolerance so having a few is nice.
Angroos are also ok, but for some reason I can never get one that has good Mag ATK, they're better just doing melee attacks lol. They're also pretty durable as well which is cool.
Lol yeah. I hate that area so much haha. One of the most confusing areas in all of video games. Also, no problem! :D
Is there a way for your main character to learn new moves apart from the Tornado uppercut?

when u beat the game it goes back to main menu.... and there's no end story lmaoo am i right? it kinda sucks then... i beat it a few years ago and i was confuse why that was
+Charko 411 I think Sunsoft wanted to do a sequel to the game, but ended up not doing either due to budget/sales/so on.

This game is so trash I love it. Its proof that not even jrpgs are perfect. I remember picking this up when I was around 13-14 and bein like wtf is this. Like after bein wowed by final fantasy 7s final boss fight. Then looking at this all this bad character design. Like this game doesn’t even belong anywhere. And yet it’s here in our memories.

Ah well, Rayman 1 was like that too but that game was a lot of fun anyway. :p
Seems like it was intended to be open-ended for a reason. Whether they thought about making a new Monster Seed game after this one remains a mystery. It would've been the most badass thing in the world if we got a sequel to this game. I guess the game really didn't do too well. Sadly.
This game had a lot going for it, but ultimately I think it's not good. The gameplay especially the battle system is very limiting since you can only control your character. It's very slow. There isn't enough variety in the monsters to me they all look the same. There is no progression at all, it's luck based since you can't level up monsters they just die.
The things I really did like about this game is the music, the graphics and the charm of it. It's a very charming game and it looks nice for the time. It's just kinda shallow and missing depth to it. The story is also pretty bad. 6/10
