      Just read a post by Matt Affleck that went against the grain of everything I've always learned and believed and that's, "While you may not think so at first, big blind is actually the most profitable position in poker. This is due to the fact that you’ll be able to make so many profitable calls in this position due to the great pot odds you’ll be getting." Is this accurate?

    Man since I found you recently I’ve been trying your advice at my weekly Recreational $35 buy in tournament that I participate in and I haven’t quite seen my finishing results show just yet because I’m still getting to the middle point a few positions shy of the final table and not quite getting the luck of the cards but I have noticed that I am winning way more hands and am starting to frustrate people that are use to me playing a certain way(passively as hell). The last 3 tournaments I’ve been tilting people and I love it even if my finishing results aren’t quite what I’m looking for just yet! I really mean it when I say thank you because I have such a higher level of self confidence that not only am I gonna win but start winning more consistently. Really appreciate you! You are awesome!

    I tried to be super aggressive and loose last night, I had 4 decent hands with flush and straight draws, lost all 4 and went out early. Had 1 guy that called every raise no matter how many x the BB I raised.

    I can't stand the constant double barrellers... But I also want to be one. Without botching it in execution of course. Last good session my most profitable table was a group of passive players at one point all their AF was 1 mine was 13 lol, I'm definitely seeing how aggressive poker is winning poker but as soon as there's an aggressive regular at the table it throws a wrench in my plans :p Your video did so well yesterday that was insane!

    I used to win small pots and lose large pots. I had a good night last night. I was aggressive. Like you taught me. You’re my best instructor. I’m still not perfect but it’s fun winning large pots.

      Yes, please. And also go through if it’s better to straddle before the blinds or on the button. Thanks

    I’d rather cbet 1/3 pot than half because of the high frequency of cbet : more than 75%
    Draw weak pair overcards should call 1/3 as 1/2 and trash hands should fold vs any size

    • @kilobumpin
      @kilobumpin Před 8 měsíci +1

      the only thing that matters is how often your opponents fold to a c bet
      1/3 bets opponents will call that all day
      2/3 your opponent won't call unless they have something

    For cbet, what if you need to make decision before others? do you still cbet? or you only cbet when others all already checked?

    Just a question: so does this mean always fold the awkward hands like Any K/Q/J with a number even if it’s suited?

    • @je7055
      @je7055 Před 8 měsíci

      I wouldn't say you necessarily _always_ need to fold those, but at the micros where plain A-B-C poker is the simplest way to win, it won't be a major leak if you do. Qxs and Jxs are honestly pretty weak. Kxs frankly isn't much better, but you're not killing yourself if you try to steal the blinds with it (K6s+ give or take). I personally do so, depending on the reads I have on the players in the blinds. Just keep in mind why you're playing a hand like that, and don't get too fancy with your draws or 4th pair, if you pair the weaker card.

    Your hand with a set of sixes should not be controversial. An overbet also works against good players. Thanks for bringing this strategy up.
