- Review how to make complex boundary surfaces in Solidworks by extruding the profile, trimming each surface from the top, connecting with 3D sketch splines and finally building the surface using a boundary surface. The extruded surfaces are just used to create the boundary. This method lets you have maximum control over complex surfacing.

Very nice and quick. The "taught" way is to surface loft with multiple sketch planes.
