Never been a big fan of Ozzie's music, but years ago my husband and I were on vacation in Maui and they ended up parking themselves next to us at the pool one day. The nicest people - surprisingly down to earth in person.

As someone who has severe depression among other issues the Robin Williams story really got to me. What a wonderful thing to hear, he was an amazing man and awesome of Ozzy to do that for Sharon.
Ozzy really is a truly kind and loving husband deep down. And just now learning about the thing he did with bringing Robin Williams over to cheer her up when she was ill is so incredibly sweet

Sharon telling the Robin Williams story reminded me-- OZZY saved my life in a very similar way-- and he doesn't even know it!!! I wish I could thank him. I was all alone on a New Year's Eve because I was too sick to go anywhere AGAIN, and I had so many other problems that I was LITERALLY suicidal and thinking about ways to do it. I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired & I was so lonely and I didn't want to live through another year like the last several horrible ones and had no reason whatsoever to hope it would ever get any better. I ended up reading the entire book of "I Am Ozzy" in that one night and I NEARLY DIED LAUGHING!!!! There were so many times I was laughing so hard that I was ACTUALLY HYPERVENTILATING trying to catch my breath!!!! I was laughing so hard I was CRYING TEARS OF JOY and my sides hurt! Ozzy inspired me so much that I figured if Ozzy could live through all that, I could try to hang on for another day and I hoped somebody else would be glad I did. I have a picture of my cat lying by Ozzy's book from when I was reading it for the second time and it cheers me up every time I see the photo. I sure miss my cat though & wish I was healthy enough to take care of another one. Crazy Train has always been one of my favorite songs and I have several funny memories about it. And, ironically, Robin Williams is one of the 3 people who have ever made me laugh that hard. I was so heart broken when I heard he commited suicide. I hope he is in peace now. He brought so much joy to so many people.😎😂
That's really cool. I haven't read that. Hope you're doing well now. I only saw him once for The Ultimate Sin tour. Randy Rhodes had just died before that and after the show I bought a shirt and they only had white ones left. (Which I wasn't happy about cuz I only wore black in the late 80s as a teen). So Ozzy comes stumbling through the crowd, like really wasted. I said "Hey it's Ozzy" to my friends and went up to him, said hey and offered my hand to shake.
He was eating a pretzel, and he looks at my hand, and reaches out and touches my cheek instead. I feel something wet and cold immediately, and I wipe my cheek* on the shoulder of my new white Ozzy shirt that I had already put on. I look over and the shoulder is covered in a huge yellow mustard stain. He laughs like a loon and stumbles away. No handshake.
But hey, it made a good story and the stain was a good conversation piece. That was Ozzy..

My brother is 2 years older than I am. He is why I got into 80's heavy metal. To look at me and know anything else about me, you wouldn't expect that. We would have 'rock wars' that sometimes shook the house if our parents weren't home when he had his room in the furnished basement and mine was upstairs directly above it. My brother and I are total opposites and mostly fought like "cats and dogs." At other short lived times, we practically worshipped eachother. One of the other few things we have in common is we are both ridiculously stubborn!!!! (That has another funny story). But, I digress. When I became 16 years old and had a driver's permit, I became THE designated driver whenever my brother and a bunch of his friends wanted to get drunk. I was the only sober person at a lot of fun parties. I loved it. My brother's friends also paid for my ticket to attend a whole lot of heavy metal concerts. I LOVED IT! I would be standing in the middle of about 9 over protective guys. I thought I was ugly. (Turns out I wasn't, but that is another long story). I was EXTREMELY shy, but kind of cool and funny-- IF YOU got me going. I don't think some of these guys ever knew my name! I was introduced as "Jeff's little sister" and they knew he would beat the crap out of them if they ever did anything to me or they didn't protect me or ever touched me. Anyways, My brother had a black "Blizzard of Oz" Concert T- shirt WHICH NO LONGER FIT HIM that he had gotten before I started going to concerts with him. I couldn't afford a concert T- Shirt in those days. I absolutely loved the Ozzy shirt and used to beg him to give it to me so I wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb at concerts and parties. He always refused to let me have it. I would sometimes steal it from his closet... he would angrily take it back... I would steal it... Eventually, he got a Rott Weiler (sp?) dog that was huge. He put the T-Shirt on the dog just to spite me and stop me from stealing it!!! The dog was about 135 pounds when it had really outgrown the T-Shirt and was still growing. Then, thinking I would no longer want it, my brother smart assedly offers the T-Shirt to me. I washed it and wore it until it got holes in it!!!!! So, I got a second hand 'hand-me-down' from a dog!!!!!
@nmeunierUnfortunately, Depression is a disease like cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, etc You can't just wish it away. It physically alters your brain. Robin Williams did many inspirational movies too. Patch Adams is one of my all-time favorites.😂

Sabbath bass player is Geezer Butler. Daisley was never with them at the same time as Ozzy. They stole publishing rights from Bob Daisley as the bass player for his solo band, which was originally supposed to be a band called "Blizzard of Ozz", not an album title.

Please know that you and your husband have helped so many of us out here in the audiences to deal with 'crappy' things. Currently, a lot of your man's music pumps into my ears at night as I put life back in order. It worked 30 years ago, it STILL works today even when the lyrics themselves mean so much more now.

What is also very sweet,.. We had an original band in the UK 20 years ago (Happy as Fish), a promoter gave me Sharon's address to send our demo tape to, and gave me her phone number. I sent the demo, and followed up with a phone call,.. she answered my call, and she was very kind, in saying she liked it,..but it was not something she could promote at the time. And she gave me some wonderful advice. Nothing came of it,... but the fact that she took the time to talk to me is something special,... she is a wonderful lady!

No, she's pure evil. Ozzy's never written any music in his life, or lyrics. His band does it for him, then she screws the members out of their writing credits and royalties. Bob Daisley wrote all the lyrics of Ozzy's first five solo albums, so to screw him over they re-recorded his parts and the drummer's parts on the remasters so they didn't have to pay them performance royalties. Jake E. Lee recalls when he was recording the Bark at the Moon album that they never offered him a contract until after he was done recording all of his guitar parts (which he wrote). Then $haron offered him up a contract and that said he had to forfeit all his writing credits and money to Ozzy Osbourne. She said if he didn't then she'd hire a new guitar player to play all the parts they had recorded of him. She also said she knew he couldn't sue them because he didn't have the money to hire anyone. She's an evil business woman. She's also a liar.

B.) The garden food poisoning story is surprisingly common for any couple their age. If that's rock and roll my parents are goddamn rock royalty.
