    Thanks for these videos! Are you familiar with how the machine detects whether it's grinding enough coffee? I have an issue with my Pico Baristo where it is constantly saying that I need to add coffee despite the hopper being full and I observe ground coffee coming out of the grounds spout by looking down the pre ground coffee compartment. I figure there is some sort of sensor that determines if enough grounds are present and that sensor must be blocked or dysfunctional. Your expertise is really appreciated!

      Thank you 😊 ❤️. Yes, there is a sensor at the bottom of the grinder. That sensor can be replaced but I'll suggest replacing the entire grinder as well. It is not easy to get to it but you don't need to disassemble the entire machine ( just the top) then swap the new grinder with the sensor installed and you are good to go. If you are replacing the sensor only. It's tricky but I have a video showing you how to on the channel.

    hi, could you please write what were the symptoms, so you knew you need to change 2 way valve?

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před 3 měsíci +1

      You usually know it is the valve because it either doesn't work ( no water coming to the steamer wand or carafe) or it leaks ( water coming out of it while idle or brewing) you still need to test it out. In general when the valve is having troubles of any kind it's best to replace it and clean around the hoses as well. Hope this helps 😊

    You mentioned in above video that the internal waterspouts get clogged. However, did not show how to clean the spouts. I am having the problem that the hot waterspout is working just fine but not dispensing coffee. Before I replace 2-way valve I want to see if that will solve my problem. Thank you for your help.

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair

      That doesn't seem like an issue with the 2-way valve, particularly if the hot water functions properly. The 2-way valve primarily regulates the hot water and steam. It's more likely related to the brew valve or the brew unit. A quick rinse of the brew unit might be helpful, and you can also inspect the brew valve - no extensive disassembly required for this.
      Remember to ensure the machine is switched off for at least 30 minutes before disconnecting it and working on the brew valve, as it can have residual pressure from the boiler. I hope this advice proves useful

      Thank you for your response. I actually order a new brew valve. Unfortunately, did not solve the problem. How do you remove the internal waterspout from the machine. In the video you made a comment that the internal waterspout gets clogged. However, you did not show in your video. Thank you for any help you can offer...

      @@veronicaholmes3706 i completely apologize for the mistake. I'll try to do a video on how to remove those parts. You will have to completely remove the entire assembly out of the machine. If you want to "cheat" this only applies if the machine is dispensing hot water and you can rinse the machine ( water coming out instead of coffee) you can use cafiza cleaning tablets. Place one inside the old brew unit and with he machine one do a pre ground coffee. That will brew the cleaning tablet and hopefully unclog the spouts. Try it with water multiple times before you do it with the cleaning tablets. You can also send me a video on Facebook of the machine so I can help you out better. Hope you can unclog the spouts

    Thank you for your videos. Can you please advise on what to do with an Error code 5 ? Thank you

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Usually error code 5 means that the machine is not detecting water. It could be scale built up or something clogging the system. What is the machine doing?

    • @antonbee3724
      @antonbee3724 Před 7 měsíci +2

      Thank you for replying. I actually followed your video and cleaned a bunch of parts. Now it works. I just got this machine used and a bit unimpressed by the espresso. Maybe need to fine tune some things. Also is it normal for a bit of water to end up in the bottom pull out tray ?

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před 7 měsíci +2

      @@antonbee3724 The machine should have some water on the tray, but not excessive. Ideally, the coffee grounds should be moist, not watery. If you're noticing a significant amount of water on the tray and the used coffee grounds are too wet, it might be time to consider replacing the brew unit gasket and brew valve gaskets of the machine.

    Thanks for the video and process, recently my Saeco Picobaristo constantly primes and when descaled and cleaned it will only dispense hot water through the Aux. spout, I triple checked all screws and have gotten to the point to remove the top of the unit as a whole, seems as though there is a plastic clip or hook that will not allow the top to be removed or budged, any help or any other place there is a screw or catch? Any tips on what it may be that is clogged? Thank you!

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Hey there! Happy the video was useful. The problem with your Saeco Picobaristo might actually be a clog in the system. If that stubborn plastic clip is giving you a hard time, check behind it for any hidden screws. You might need to remove the frame for a better look. Hope this info comes in handy, and good luck fixing it! By the way, stay tuned for a future video where I'll cover servicing the spouts and some other parts I didn't get into this time around

    Hello thank you for the video
    when i start my machin it always have trapped air it gives me the message (start water priming?) i have to do this evry time i start the machine can you help please?

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před 10 měsíci +2

      It could be the water pump dying. You can try descalling the machine with citric acid and help out the water pump. Mix one tablespoon of citric acid on the whole water tank. Run it through the hot water spout when you turn on the machine and it asks you to do the water priming. If it still struggles and it is not able to push water through then replace the water pump

    Hello, thx for the video. Water is coming out of the hot water spout just fine but not the coffee dispenser. I replaced the water pump but still no coffee coming out. Grinding fine, and brew group unit seems to be moving properly and dropping ground coffee where it should go. Any other thoughts on how to get the water to come through the coffee?

    • @DeLucaEspressoRepair
      @DeLucaEspressoRepair  Před rokem +1

      Thank you for getting in touch. I'm glad the hot water spout is functioning properly. Given that you've replaced the water pump and verified the brew group's movement, it's a good idea to check the spouts for any possible blockages. Sometimes, tiny particles can impede the flow. Please ensure there are no blockages or clogs in the coffee dispenser or the coffee outlet.
      Give this a try, and if the issue continues, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to work together in finding the best solution.
