    @Mekare55 I find the best way to wash items I've made is to gently hand wash them in a bucket or sink with mild washing detergent (or even better, wool wash). Rinse in clean water then squeeze excess water out of the item before laying it flat (in it's original shape) on a thick towel in a sunny spot

    What I've been using for ties is the Navajo Knitting technique by Lucy Neatby. It's a weaver's technique where a single skein of yarn is tripled and the crochet cord that I chain from this is very thick.

  • @CrochetwithClare
    @CrochetwithClare  Před 13 lety

    @Stephy27Pooh If you dont want the beanie to be a neck warmer, just a beanie you can use a running stitch at the top. You make as many rows as you need to make it wide enough to wrap around your head. I show you in the video when i am wrapping it around my head :)
    Depending on the yarn that you are using if it is thick or thin will depend on how many rows
    hope that helped you

      to make a seed stitch you make a double crochet in one stitch and then a single crochet into the next stitch. you repeat this for the entire row. when you turn you will be making a single crochet where the double crochet is and a double crochet into the single crochet. you repeat these steps for your entire project

    When you use two colors, sometimes it is hard to do it. Do you have an answer on how to do the cord two with different colors, Please show me do it the right way when I am taking the two off with out getting them tangled.

    • @CrochetwithClare
      @CrochetwithClare  Před 8 lety

      +Michele Hunt - Mcclary THe only advice I can think of i treating the 2 yarns as one, the 2 colours will twist around each other, but that is ok, you will never be able to keep them separate :)
