- After a short break I'm back and re-energised for the upcoming autumn season. Join me for some landscape photography where I photograph the start of the vibrant colour in all it's glory in one of the most colourful parts of the Lake District :-)

Great again Stuart. I popped into your gallery while up in july and you gave me good advice on getting to the warnscale bothy. as as said to you at the time i am from Southampton and i don’t like heights, and i want to address my fear, so going from the slate mine could be a good option. to get that shot.. so i am coming up the first week in November in my camper, to shoot the Autumn Colours in various locations cannot wait. and maybe i will address my fear cheers Rob

Not too disjointed at all. I'm racking my brains at to where that path at the start is as it looks so familiar. The colours look fabulous and hopefully you'll get a good run of them before the winds arrive and disrobe the trees. Loving the vlog for showing me what I'm missing this year which will be first in ten years that I haven't visited the Lakes in autumn. 😢 Glad to hear the gallery has been busy. Cheers.

Brilliant to see you back Stuart - I spent a week in the Lake District early in October and saw you rushing away from the shop wit ha large, framed print under your arm :) I was going to say high but you looked busy. I would have popped in the shop later in the week to say hello, but with all the current situation I thought it best to leave until another time when we are hopefully over this Covid situation. Had a lovely week there and managed a nice inversion from Catbells + took your advice from an earlier vlog and visited the north shore of Crummock Water.

@@StuartMcGlennon I also ventured up Waller Crag based on your video and the path up past Cat Gill nearly killed me in the dark :) Coming down was nearly as bad :D

It's good to see you back out with the camera and I hope your car troubles are now well behind you. The autumn colours do seem to be a little further on than normal this year and depending on the species of tree of course has a large bearing on the intensity of that colour.
Whilst watching the vlog, I couldn't stop thinking whereabouts you were or ultimately where you were heading for. Parts of it looked to be in the area a little further along from Ashness Bridge heading towards Watlendath, but then I wasn't sure. If I can find time this weekend, I might try and see if I can visit one of my local woodlands to see what the colour is like and possibly search out some fungi to photograph.

Stuart's back! Nice image of that little waterfall - one thought maybe - if the leafs in the bottom right were swirling, maybe it would be worth to use some ND and show it a little bit more, then blend both exposures? Good video, thanks Stuart!
Hi Juraj, the leaves weren’t really swirling fast enough or in a circular motion, they were just bobbing about more than anything else so it wouldn’t really have worked. I know what you mean though

Nice one mate, good to see you back out. Colours do seem to be turning fast this year for sure. Had to order new muffs for my Rode too, but the new ones are much more secure - just make sure you wiggle your muff to seat it 😂 Lovely end result with the image 👍
Thanks Jamie yes when I first got them I thought I was having a senior moment and that there was another way of fastening them - nope they were just crap lol bizarre design but yeah I’ve heard the replacements are much better
Just landed in the Lakes this afternoon so good to see those colours popping ! Hopefully I can catch some altho weather not looking too favourable. Some awesome drone footage and images Stuart as always and I've just got that Rode Mic and cant get the dead cat to stay on !!
