Yep, I liked this guy too. I've seen a bit of his content when I used to play Genshin. Real shame, I haven't seen the full context but if it's true, which I believe so because Tectone himself, who is a very credible and good human being said so. I refuse to support this person.

They didn't just "kinda bullied" Brax. Atsu's friend group deliberately and systematically bullied Brax with Atsu as the manipulative ring leader behind it all. I understand if they didn't wanna be friends with Brax without getting to know him first, but to intentionally and purposefully sabotage Brax's CC career which is his main source of income is downright evil. It made the loner and socially awkward Brax contemplate sue-we-side coz he didn't understand why they're doing this to him when they don't even know him in the first place. This Atsu person is a despicable scum of the earth. Unsub and unfollow Atsu's channels and pages. Mass-report Atsu's channel, we shouldn't support bullies and manipulative narcissists.

No, sorry. Tectone is overwhelmingly negative person who’s sexist and gross, who comes at the game from a perspective of someone who did nothing but play and spent tens of thousands of dollars on the game as though that represents the average player. Also it’s a free game and a business. If you buy something from Walmart, you don’t expect Walmart to send you a gift card at the end of the year for supporting. You make a purchase, you get a product. In genshin, you spend the time or you buy primos, you get primos. That’s what you paid for, they don’t owe you anything else. People are are spoiled children throwing a tantrum about these rewards.
That said I understand the frustration about the lack of communication and think hoyoverse needs to do better there. They need to communicate better, they need to actually address issues publicly but honestly, everyone whining about the rewards? I just don’t care. It’s so annoying and entitled to me. So long as they put their profit towards their employees and then back into the game and other projects, which it seems like they do, considering HSR and all the free concerts and such, then I’m happy.

I’m not a streamer, a content creator, or anyone important enough for hoyoverse to pay. I, for the most part, agree with him. I’m ar 60, been playing since the start. Love the game, but I also have other hobbies and a job and a life so I don’t have time to play for hours everyday. I, for the most part, agree with him. Do you have any proof that he is paid by hoyoverse to never talk bad about the game? Why is he not allowed to have a more positive opinion on the game than others?
My opinion is people upset about free rewards are like spoiled children throwing tantrums. The game is free, it owes you nothing. The criticisms I do agree with is that hoyoverse sucks at communicating to its players, and some new end game content would be nice, I probably wouldn’t use it but it’s a valid criticism and I want to stop hearing about it, lol.

Even Dish posted on twt shes sorry for Brax bc she dont know too why Atsu dont like him and Rat told his friends to not interact with him and they all just agree with it without questioning it. Even Tuonto confirm that its true.
Rat also admit that he can talk to HYV Staff and can bat for someone even Mtashed asked him if he can get someone from the inside to try to patch things up his issue with HYV, he did tried but nothing comes out of it. If Rat has the power to vouch for someone he also has the power to do the other way around, to talk bad about other CC "dont invite that CC, he is this or that".
Also many CC posted on twt that had the same experience that they feel excluded with "Ratsu+friends" interaction that they are like hindering other CC from getting contracts from HYV.

Yeah as a f2p I feel the same. Three years of completely free AAA level content every six weeks on a game optimized so well I can play it on a laptop with on-board graphics, fucking horrible. I've been playing this amazing game for 3 years but you can't be asked to also give me tons of free handouts? Awful. I'm also so glad I haven't given them a cent, but I'll continue to play it completely free out of spite.

Poor Hoyoverse was barely keeping afloat with minimal to no profits these past 3 years.
Instead of supporting this small yet generous company, people are now asking for better rewards for their loyalty to the game and more quality of life features that they already have in their other small non profitable game. As a F2P player you've got MORE say because you actually play the game and *grind* in it. These "dolphins", "whales" and etc. are just skipping everything with the help of money usually without actually playing the game. You really should respect yourself more. miHoYo's treatment of Genshin and its players is just outrageously awful. I want Genshin to be improved, I want Genshin to be an actual good game, I don't want all this greediness and other BS from Genshin's dev team!

I'm not even mad. I just feel sad it all comes to this, even when people at first CALMLY try to show hoyo what is wrong by giving feedbacks, opinions, sending messages and videos and surely more. But they don't listen, more like, don't even care. And then we get situations of this sort. Dramas. Why? There's so much I do not understand from the decisions some people make in their company. They HAVE resources and abilities, ideas, amazing and creative staff to fix most if not all those problems, but instead they choose to ignore them or even make them worse. Once again, WHY? What's the point? There are so many people, players loving this game for many different reasons, and the people killing that love are the people inside hoyoverse company itself. It's just darn sad man.
Yeah the communication between the game and its community is a shitwreck. For example: The artifact "loadout". Its like they knew we wanted it yet did everything in their power to avoid doing what we asked for. It's sad. It just is and it always has been. honestly even them taking this much time is worrying to me ( The 4.4 livestream aired on the 19th of jan.). So taking the artifact "loadout" incident as an example, they will probably do the same; give us a ten pull ( A bell and some black tassels), not change anything about the endgame, the communication nor the QoL changes and global community will go on with their shit rewards and it'll die down as fast as it started. That's depressive.

I used to play when this game first came out for like a year and a half and beat all the content and was at 57 or somthing like that, I used to watch you and tectone and from a unbiased perspective tectone is right, I always hated how soft this community is and how no one would speak out on issues. I’m with tectone on this one
I used to hate Tectone back in my early days of Genshin, I used to think "why is this guy always so angry? the game is great!" until I got to late game and experienced myself all the issues that he was screaming about, so yeah, I do agree with Tectone's take about the anniversary but not all his takes, Tec's sometimes so full of himself that he never stops to think if his perspective is the right one, but yeah I agree with him on this one.
I honestly didn't even catch the fact they said we get 3 more pulls in the livestream from supporting their game, I never saw that until after everything and all the drama. But I'm honestly fcking exhausted from this treatment man, I've been playing since day 1 and only took certain breaks from working or just pure burnout. It's just fcking INSANE to me that this game saved them from bankruptcy yet they treat us like dogshit, we had to wait until an entirely DIFFERENT game HSR came out to get QoL changes we've been requesting for YEARS, and CN community got tired of this treatment as well. I'm in the boycott as well by unfollowing and unsubbing from their channels man. I'm so fed up they can't keep waiting on a new region or new areas to keep saving their game man, just give us what we've been asking for. We're not even asking for much but like artifact loadouts and actual damn Endgame, it's like they don't even want us to play their own game is INSANE to me.

Exactly. This community and especially the CC's have to stop calling this drama. It's a controversy, a discussion, a boycott, a criticism. Not drama. Drama implies that things are blown out of proportion, most of the time between a few people and is usually pretty petty. This is between a playerbase seeking justice from an entire development team for their loyalty towards the game.

The upfront rewards are the least of the big problems imo. Endgame is the most important thing because if there is nothing to do, why would we need new characters? Open world can be cleared by anything anyway. QoL is arguably just as important as rewards, but for me it's more important because if things are tedious, then it's less enjoyable over time. So anything to make the game less tedious is good for me. Rewards are very good and are necessary for some to be happy, but you can always get more gems. Characters will return eventually and you always have the option to spend to get a character you really want.
Agree with the endgame. I stopped spending money on genshin because... I have no more reason to.
I can clear all the content with ease. I came back to genshin after a almost year of HSR filled hiatus and 36 starred a spiral abyss filled with monsters I do not know any mechanics of by brute forcing.
Why am I gonna grind? Why do I need characters? 🤷🏿♂️ Wuthering waves and Penacony looking real good. And Genshin, we had a good run😊
@@Godsthetics Yeah I have been playing HSR and even though it is more difficult, I feel like I want to upgrade more and get more characters because there are things I can use those characters for. Plus they give more rewards to compensate for the overall harder content.
In Genshin, I first 36* abyss back in I think 1.2 and have cleared it since then. I only bought the welkin on and off because getting more characters was just to have maybe a different play style, but it was to clear the same content. I have a ton of characters now, but nothing to do with all of them.
Also Wuthering Waves looks great. And I heard it is developed by the same team as PGR and I have only heard positive things from that game. I hope they announce a release date soon.

@@ceritaminit6696 Not necessarily. It's just that not every character is good in every situation. So you are more incentivized to build and pull for more characters to have more team options. But that's mainly if you want to clear MOC or Pure Fiction which are the harder content.

The sad part about this is normal Genshin devs, that have no say in the rewards get hate when they're only responsible for gameplay. At the end its the superior heads that are mostly to blame for the stubbornness Genshin sometimes has with change.

Cai isn't the producer anymore behind Genshin. He WAS at the beginning, but no longer directly involved in game-related stuff. More so he's been devastated behind the fall of Project SH and is now more so looking into establishing NA game studios for some unannounced stuff. This whole thing directing towards the producer is misguided. It's the marketing that decides the rewards, and only then do they talk to team leads about it. @@impostorsyndrome1350

Genshin Impact is a great game for >new< Players but stings when it comes to loyal players/customers , like you said the amount auf content when you just start playing the game now is amazing. But if you have been around since the beginning or a longer time, then you realize that they just doesn't seem to care about many things. One of them is rewarding long time loyality, listening to Feedback and other stuff.... we have been begging for more Skins, more Endgame Content/Game Mods to use our passionly built characters on and a lot QoL which they completly seem to ignore for years.
HSR on the other hand seems to be the exactly opposite, they listen to Feedback (and not only CN community ones how it seems) and reward loyality through a lot of amazing free stuff. The only thing i miss there are Skins right now but who knows we might also get them soon.
One other thing that bothers me is how hoyoverse Genshin doesn't give anything to what Global players think/how they feel but seem to atleast do something/react whenever CN players get mad.
I don't like Teccy too much because he antagonizes the whole genshin community and provokes a lot intentionally for farming reaction content but he is right in many things he says about hoyoverse genshin.
I like how they just giving us survey to fill every patch but just to get ignored by them.
They want to attract new players but the irony is the game itself isn't new player friendly. Imagine they got Raiden Shogun or Yelan early game, they had to complete a whole world quest just to raise them

I agree, I have been filling every single of these surveys in the past because of the tiny hope that they might really look into it. I wrote a little essay always at the end but it’s completely pointless.
It’s almost like they intentionally do an experiment with us or something. In no other game have I ever experienced that much of lack of listening to feedback , it feels like „swallow it or die“ at this point.
„Die“ would be in that example to drop the game which many white knights use as argument.
They miss the point that people that really like the game passionately are often the ones also that complain aslong as it’s constructive criticism but yeah they downplay those by putting them into the same jar as the people that complain just for the sake of it.
I want to say here that I’m also not fond of the people getting offensive toward genshin players that are happy as it is with the game, since those often are ones that only say that they are having a lot fun with the game and don’t play that much/ are relatively new to the game (aslong as those doesn’t defend Hoyo/shit on other players opinion aka whiteknighting).
Because I also had a lot of fun at the beginning for some time so it might also be wrong to put all of the into one jar aswell.
I don't even want the three wishes. I want a path in the standard banner to have a chance to get Tignari in the future. Also I would like to be able to get Dark iron sword and festering desire. I would pay even...so they are doing it wrong.
Yeah. What u said is so valid. There are so many ways to show their appreciation to their player-base. It’s not just about giving us free pulls. a guaranteed way to get a 5* standard weapon or character we want even if it’s after 600 pulls, i’d take that. Or access to previous event 4* weapons-even if it’s paid or after 500 pulls. or saveable artifact preset loadouts that we can equip fast on different characters with just one click is something i have always wanted. or a chance to reroll artifact substats. or extra increased slots for condensed resin cap. things that *really* matter more to players. and NOT a gadget that blows cute bubbles or 3 measly wishes that’s equivalent to 3 Debate Clubs.
it’s very tiring year after year when they don’t listen to player feedback and then manage to always frustrate players. Hoyoverse is an expert at giving us what we don’t need/want. They will fix everything around the issue, but they will never fix the issue itself. If it’s a great helpful idea, you can always count on them to not do it. That’s Genshin Impact at its true core.
(That’s why, I hope Wuthering Waves succeeds. Genshin needs to be humbled. Genshin has remained too complacently neglectful over the years. it’s about time another game dethrones Genshin from its royal seat, or at least dismantles big parts of Genshin’s royal seat.)

It’s the same since it launched.
X.0 is a new region with new artifacts, x.3 comes with new artifacts again, x.5 new artifact again, and here we go for one same year (with a map to explore every 2 patches in average).
It was fine for 2-3 years, but when you don’t see any improvement in the game’s core, just always the same loop, the issue just become bigger.
Honkai Star Rail got more improvements in 6 months than Genshin in 3 years. And I’m am not even talking about rewards.

Still want to play the game anyway for the overall content. I just don't like the higher ups' decisions on their most successful game since pandemic.
Even if they didn't say anything about the 3 fates, drama was going to happen anyway the moment HSR announced free 20 pulls in their 2.0 livestream.

I feel like a better comparison is not Eula but Dehya. Eula's "boycott" was only in name and stemmed from a lack of understanding of her character (literally breaking away from her family and all). I don't really think anyone tried because at the end of the day, a lot of people knew *she* wasn't a slave owner/understood her backstory. Because lore enthusiasts already knew about the Lawrence clan from the manga...
Dehya's situation, though it never called itself a boycott, was way larger and many communities overlapped on it. If I recall, at least before her demo, many CN players were said to have given up on her because hyv wasn't changing / "fixing" her during the beta when CN players were advocating. And CN's version of the boycott was to make massive donations in her name using money that they would have used to whale. In the west, people came up with genuinely good suggestions to make her work well with the *current roster at that time, but ultimately many really didn't seem to care enough to actually... do the actions that are necessary parts of a boycott
Another example would be Sumeru. I'm glad that ultimately people saw the good parts of it and many listened and learned from actual swana players, but I know many swana who let just the introduction be their last straw for genshin because ? One of the FIRST characters being their major stereotyped orientalist character? And then continuing to tow a line where cultures were overly mixed which is both disrespectful in general but further contributes to large scale orientalism? Enough noise wasn't truly made globally, and many literally came out as having only pretended to be upset by the actual issues in the region.
CN tends to be more coordinated on top of the actual impact they have simply from being in the country

Before this guy took over, the guy behind Genshin was there, hence why HI3rd was so awful in terma of rewards. Than David took over Cai's position for HI3rd and was at the helm for HSR. If we get Cai out or change Cai's mind, Genshin will have change and for the better.

Every Genshin Stans saying that its expensive, and things that related to money as it is company business like music, open world, orchestra, voice actors, etc..., Look at Kurogame casually, and stressfully rips off their story because of the community sending feedbacks because of it..., that would cost everything from thousand to million of dollars to overwrite, and do it again. If Mihoyo wanted to make this game right , they'd give us an additional 3,000 artifact slots for the 3 year anniversary , artifact loadouts , an artifact junk folder/label (so we can actually stash away the ones we want for strong box) , another copy of the rare 3 star Liyue sword (still at R1 for 3 years) , an interactive map that actually worked with completed info and better picture uploads , okay there's too many to list actually . . .

This! I agree with the sentiment that Hoyo has been pretty stingy and has been dragging their heels on many things. But the amount of unsolicited comments like “lol you still play Genshin” and “Genshin is complete dogshit” I see on random Genshin vids that are completely detached from the drama discussion makes me more annoyed at the player movement than Mihoyo. Most likely fans of streamers that got riled up and feel the need to spread the message. They are inescapable.
While I do think the treatment from the Genshin Devs has been ass to the community, I do think other content creators have really just jumped on the opportunity to pile on the ones who have voiced their opinions/dissatisfaction. Yes, you should be able to complain if the quality of a product is not up to standards. The only thing that can milk views/content are videos talking about this drama, or clowning on the very devoted community.
Its not entire company’s fault but the other ones who work in the company can at least think and say their opinion about it too. If the workers are unhappy about it, maybe final decision makers will realize the wrongs too?

I play Genshin for the story (main and event), characters , and the voice actors and that won’t change much. I probably will spend less now after how HSR has better rewards and endgame and penocany. But I will still play nonetheless !
Okay, Heres some information ladies and gentlemen. The current Producer for Both HSR and HI3 is David Jiang. And clearly, he has done incredibly well. BUT. If you are a veteran HI3 fan, we had a chabge in producers in the first year(?) of HI3's release. The previous producer of HI3 was Cai Haoyu, which is also the current producer of Genshin Impact. Apparently during the first year of HI3, the game gave incredibly stingy rewards during the time Cai was the producer. and when the producer changed to David, we started to get more rewards such as A FREE 5 STAR/S battlesuits and skins and other rewards such as more Crystals (the primogem/stellar jade equivalent). So this may have to do with Cai Haoyu being the main producer of this game? Ofc its unsure and i dont know much of businesses but it cant just be a coincidence (it could but its just way too alligned) that when Cai was producer, rewards were stingy, and when David is producer, The rewards are spectacular (we can see in HSR and HI3 giving a free 5 star, DR ratio and Senti).
Do what you want with this info tho. as many people have been talking about this and backing this statement up. BUT dont threaten or doxx them. Youre no better if you do that. Just keep things harmless.

a lot of people do understand the problems, that it's not the 3 wishes themselves but many long time issues with genshin that's been building up stress within the community and the 3 wishes is just the last straw that broke the camel's back, a lot of people understand that BUT it's been getting buried by disingenuous genshin youtubers, content creators that's in bed with mihoyo to downplay the issue by making it seem like it's only about 3 wishes.
I would rather people to ask for permanent changes in game than a few more wishes. Especially when Hoyo can easily scam us and give us a ten-pull less than planned by giving us less primos in events overtime. Plus a ten-pull is not even a lot anyway. Basically the community can critique Mihoyo as much as they want (but peacefully), but they are critiquing them for the wrong things (or rather, for useless things).

But yeah if we were to judge by the 1st anniversary drama, global barely has any say in it. Literally it’s so insane to me that ppl took Eula’s story as supporting slavery or smth like 😭 the whole point of Eula’s arc is she made the choice to break away from her family who were continuously hurting people, she went out of her way to be that change and break the cycle. Even if her family hates her now and the general public of Mond hates her solely for her bloodline without even getting to know her she doesn’t regret it because she knows this was the right thing to do. Like it’s literally smth people do every day, many people have ancestors who did awful things but make the decision to not continue that cycle, like it just blows my mind how quickly ppl will make assumptions and can’t read the point of things I swear they taught this type of reading comprehension in school so where did it go 😵💫

9:10 they should add the feature in hsr you can convert the unusable artifact into exp or mats to craft new artifact, it is good since converting to exp will only contain one in inventory since it can be stacked

Apparently the "manager" (idk the actual name) in charge of GI now, was in charge of HI3 in its early years. If you didn't know, the rewards were as bad as genshin. And "as soon as" he wasn't in the HI3, the rewards got more generous. Idk if only one person make the decision, but that explains a lot

I'm used to it that now i felt completely nothing about it. I still play genshin as i am curious and want to know the end of the storyline. Never spend a single cent for a more than a year already and only casually clearing dailies for less than 30mins everyday.
Honestly, my take is pretty similar to your's. The rewards itself doesn't matter to me (anymore) because I'm a day 1 player. I already have more than enough characters to play with so it's not like 30 pulls or even a free 5 star is going to matter. But, the 3 pulls are basically treating us like beggars, idiots, whatever it is it's definitely not players or customers. Is it that hard to add a 0 behind the 3?
I personally started playing for 2 reasons, uchida maaya and hayami saori. Yeah, I'm not even attracted by the gameplay I'm just attracted by the massive world and the lore behind it, characters and their backstory, and interaction between different characters. But what exactly do we get? In main story everytime we go to the next region, the characters from last region(s) are basically forsaken for the entire plot as if they've never existed. From now on you can only see them in event story which has nothing to do with the main story. That is... Well do I need to say more?
The only two exceptions I remember are kaeya and mona, which I don't really have interest for. When you think about how many playable characters we have now, it's pretty sad that only 2 characters (remind me if there's more) have appeared outside of their own region in main story. Why does that matter? Because ultimately story is what makes a character. Appearance only gets you attracted to them, but story is what makes you fall in love with them. If you don't want to give us rewards, at least give us more story please. They don't have to be the fucking key to save the multiverse or anything, just make them appear outside of their region for some reason in the main story, will be more than enough for me
"Bu-but, we have event storyline!!" Event story that doesn't have any relation to the main story (most of the time), which on it's own is fine because we can still see the interactions between different characters right? BUT NO, they of course have to come up with multiple npcs that also have nothing to do with the main story and focus the plotline on them. Which... huh? Am I here for the playable characters or the npcs? Am I playing genshin impact or npc impact? And yes I am well aware not every event story are like that. Like the one in 2.8 was focused on the 4 playable characters, with actually somewhat decent storyline. But too bad, not every event story are like that
Anyway enough ranting. We can shit on them, boycott the devs or whatever. But if I'm being honest none of it is going to matter. If they are going to change it, they will. Which let's be real, they won't. They'll always find ways to be stingy. So let's keep our heads clear of the drama and just live on. Either by keep playing the game or just quit the game completely. Me personally would keep playing because I want ro witness the ending of my favorite characters. But I sure as hell would not spend a single dime on this game again
