Trevor Noah Does Not Believe In Free Speech

So recently a woman in South Africa decided to go on a racist rant in which she used a highly offensive racial slur 48 times that she directed at police officers who were attempting to assist her along with making a direct threat of violence towards them. Because South Africa has a law prohibiting the use of this one racial slur in particular she was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison. Now if they wanted to go after her for making a direct threat of violence then they would have my support, but I take great issue with people going after and imprisoning others for expressing highly offensive views in public. I support a persons right to express themselves in the public regardless of how negative their opinions are, provided that it is not a direct threat of violence. Trevor Noah from The Daily Show and others like him actively support the shutting down of free speech and imprisoning people that they personally find to be highly offensive.

Slurs aren't just "naughty", slurs tell me I'm not a human. Jail has a bad stigma, but real Jail should be to help her not be racist. Racism should be a crime!!!

This happened in South Africa and she broke the law. That is why she was arrested and sentenced to prison - FOR BREAKING THE LAW. You disagree, thats your opinion but lets make one thing clear. That is, your disagreement should be directed towards the LAW. Trevor and his audience isnt responsible for how this law came to be. Heres a suggestion, why dont you go after the people that put this ridiculous law into place?
