@Calpurnia L in a perfect world I really agree with you. This is been my struggle with Gigi throughout the entire season. For a queen that age to have the advantage I'm having a talented costume designer with their own company making all of her outfits for free is just not fair. Unfortunately fairness does not seem to be a big part of drag race anymore. I couldn't agree with you more though. I find it very difficult to watch.
Calpurnia L it’s not like it’s the looks that keep queens from the crown. Bob is a prime example of that. And regardless of what you have made or make yourself, your taste level is still a key factor is how it comes across/is received onstage, and challenge performances have often saved a queen with a bad look, made by themselves or not. It’s not Rupaul’s Sewing race, a lot of these queens spend money they don’t have because it’ll pay off after their season. Heidi isn’t the only one, she was just the one who mentioned it from what we saw.
Jaida has so many looks this season that were deserving of shoots...this look, her Winter and Basketball Eleganza (that bath bubble look was everything). Jaida been serving us looks since she walked through the door.

Heidi had more of a nod to purple than GIGI! The challenge was the colour purple not green and purple! the outfit had to be explained as being a character from Scooby Doo! The GIGI blinkered strikes again!
Acceptablefreak Bingo! That look was purple-ish not full-on purple like the other queens. And I get Raja & Raven’s critique of Heidi’s ensemble, it was expertly tailored but it didn’t stand out in comparison to the other queens.
Cmon guys- I hate how much production is pushing gigi as much as anyone else but her outfit was purple and it's the best we've seen from her in a long time, stop hating just to hate.

These shows didn’t buy the garment nor do they employ the designer for the queens to use so these shows have no obligation to show the outfits or give credit.

The most impressive thing about make up artists-- and hardly anybody gives mad props for this-- is SYMMETRY! Nobody has a face that is perfectly symmetrical and you see the challenges more as people age too. I'm always blown away when people do near-perfect precision work and the balance is spot-on. Even drawing eyebrows and doing delicate liquid, winged liner. WOW!

The difference is we have see a million iterations of Heidi’s pageant gown on all the seasons while Gigi’s aesthetic while repetitive at times has not been done on this show.
Because Heidi is costumes, Gigi actually brings on the fashion, there's a big difference, you either understand fashion or you don't.

you know they only gave Heidi a boot because she went home this week and clearly the heads at WoW were like, "yeah, make Heidi look bad so it doesn't make Ru look like she made a poor decision". it's really sad. gigi should have gone home weeks ago.
I kind of agree with them tbh, Heidi looked really pretty but compared to all the other looks it was really boring. Gigi's look was a fully realised concept, which made it a bit more interesting to me. But my bottom two for fashion was Heidi and Gigi.
Heidi wore a gown we've seen on 10 queens on this show before. It looks good. But we've seen it. We need something more.
