I’ve used to mamba53 plenty of times to say it’s hands down my favorite ED or EOD shave for sure. I was just gifted a “mild” V1 Henson Al13. The Henson is more efficient but much harder to use in my opinion. I dislike the super light weight & find the head angle not as easy to work with as the mamba more smooth curve head shave. The Henson also seems more picky with blades. The mamba has been great with all blades I’ve tried so far.
Thank again for the recommendation of the mamba 53. I agree it’s the “razor I’ve been looking for”. With some king of shaves gel it’s super duper smooth!

Glad you're enjoying it. I have the Henson Medium and it's a good razor but as you said, the angle can be tougher to find than the Mamba 53.

It's a great brush. Soft but enough scrub and feels great on the face. 🤙

I’ve been enjoying your videos. I ordered a mamba53 based off your stellar reviews. I’ve tried a muhle r89 and Gillette tech but they didn’t work great for me. That stubble buster soap lathered big time in the other video!

Thanks for watching! Mamba 53 is known to be very mild but I get excellent shaves with it. The angle is really important with these milder razors. I like the tilt the head until I get the most blade feel and stick to that angle.
The R89 and the Tech are good razors as well. If you don't get good shaves with those, the Mamba 53 may not be an improvement. Try spending some time with the razors and experiment with the angle of the head.

@@TimShaves you are right. I’m new to DE shaving & still learning my angles. I can usually get a decent shave with no nicks. I just get ingrown hairs if I make too many passes or get razor burn on my sensitive neck. Have you done any favorite soaps/cremes videos? That would be a great one! Looking for a very slick but also good smelling one.

@@boostedbliss07MK5 Too many passes will always irritate your skin. I gotta stop myself sometimes as well. I haven't done favorite soaps/creams but I will think about it. Some of my favorites are from Stirling, spearhead, and moon soaps.

@@TimShaves I got my mamba 53. Had an awesome easy & smooth shave today with it. 2 passes & TU & very smooth! I like lord platinum blades for smoothness so I used that. While I’ve gotten better with the muhle r89 the mamba is much smoother & easier to use. I also got a shavette straight razor. U inspired me to up my shave game! I’ve shaved my cheeks so far with the shavette. Very smooth shave. Keep up the great channel & it was your multiple videos praising the mamba 53 that made me pull the trigger. Thanks!

@@boostedbliss07MK5 Glad you enjoyed it! It's a very smooth razor for me as well. Shavette is a whole another beast of its own so have fun!
