I love these oldies. They are highly philosophical, full of many useful Yoruba proverbs, and high demonstration Yoruba's power of the use of words. Great compositions, great counsels, great lyrics..... Nnnnwwwaaaiiinnn.

I do not know where to start, first, thank you Egba Alake for Posting this timeless classic. This great Musician along with A few Others should be preserved in Nigerian Music archives by the Nigerian Government to preserve our Heritage, similar to the one in the US, Smithsonian or Library of Congress.
This Man is amazing, great voice. Range, wisdom, thoughtful, incredible. It is widely believed that Baba Fela is the pioneer of the long play, that narrative needs to be amended, Baba Ligali just went fifteen minutes and the second track was almost 24 minutes non stop, incredible.
I will make it my duty to listen to every track of this Great Man.
Ayinla Omowura, Dada Epo- Akara, Haruna Ishola (Baba Gani Agba,) Yusuf Olatunji, I probably missed one or two, these are the pioneers and the people that created the template for modern day stuff that we are listening to now in Nigeria.
Much love to all my fellow commenter.
    Peace.

Ligali has his own unique style, if you listen carefully it is jazzed up sakara though he identify with apala, great and extremely talented musician. Music like this get better like aged whiskey for people who know good music, it's a bonus if you understand the language.

Teslim Bolatito Mr. Bolatito, I just read your post and it prompts me to reach out to you; I am very proud of the way you referenced your father. By the way, I am your departed father’s namesake, in fact the name Dauda is a unique name that you don’t see too many people bearing the name. My father named me the unique name back the and I grew up listening to these old artists as I had no choice as my parents are old folks that enjoyed these artist during their era; I continue to listen and have great application for them. God bless, love from Chicago.

"Kosi'bi ti'dera kii ba ni, Oba Babatunde rekende, laimo wipe eti okun loun pari aye si..... Igoluju Idaran spetikulu loju omi jawo jawo, gbogbo omo jaguda to mbe ni kwara ki kaluku sagbeje mowo, ogagun Bamgboye o gbagbere ki kaluku se jeje.....

Eni jaa le afargbota, gbogbo jaguda to wa nile yi ke lo sagbeje mowo o jare, Eni jaa le afargbotaaaa.....
