The Ligali music sensation lives in the hearts and minds of the discerning! I'm so happy listening to the ageless lyrics
Who else listening to this beautiful tones in this 2020 hit me guys
I love these oldies. They are highly philosophical, full of many useful Yoruba proverbs, and high demonstration Yoruba's power of the use of words. Great compositions, great counsels, great lyrics..... Nnnnwwwaaaiiinnn.
- Dotun Eniku
Listening to this melody music shows that we are now at our parents ages. They know what music's are. Our parents know how to relax with beautiful music.
A different genre of Apala music. The voice is unique and the music style too.
These man is a hidden genius only few that know what real music is will know him
I do not know where to start, first, thank you Egba Alake for Posting this timeless classic. This great Musician along with A few Others should be preserved in Nigerian Music archives by the Nigerian Government to preserve our Heritage, similar to the one in the US, Smithsonian or Library of Congress.
This Man is amazing, great voice. Range, wisdom, thoughtful, incredible. It is widely believed that Baba Fela is the pioneer of the long play, that narrative needs to be amended, Baba Ligali just went fifteen minutes and the second track was almost 24 minutes non stop, incredible.
I will make it my duty to listen to every track of this Great Man.
Ayinla Omowura, Dada Epo- Akara, Haruna Ishola (Baba Gani Agba,) Yusuf Olatunji, I probably missed one or two, these are the pioneers and the people that created the template for modern day stuff that we are listening to now in Nigeria.
Much love to all my fellow commenter.
Peace.
Why can't they sing like this again? Simple , melodious and timeless.
This music took me back to my childhood - about 5 decades ago in Ibadan and I remember my mother and other elders dancing to this music. I really missed them all!
Thanks EgbaAlake for posting this music.
No Music is is like Alades'. Its been a lice long ago affair. Quite enjoyable, geftt9m. The problem id's tr
I grew up with this music. I knew some of the men involved in his music. This Baba is an Icon loved by all Ijębus who appreciate good Music. Tnxs for this.
Nice Singer
I remember my father waking up around 6:00AM and playing his records, the turn table then, you wander what these great musicians were saying then. Now it makes a lot of sense. May Almighty God bless our deceased parents and forgive them including the great deceased musicians.
Olatunji Odusanwo we takes so many things for granted in life and am sure our if our parents will be proud knowing we are listening to this type of music in this 21st Century when everyone just want to be famous rather than good music
I am really working harder to make sure my kids can always listen to this kind of musics to live, guard nd guide for a better experience in life.
Aameen
Kai here is music u listen to and ward off all your worries. Music with a lots of lesson same time pleasure. Though for our fathers but we care not then for I don't even have the patient to understand what they are singing about until now. hooo I pity our children for nothing for them as in inspirational musics and musicians.
Ligali has his own unique style, if you listen carefully it is jazzed up sakara though he identify with apala, great and extremely talented musician. Music like this get better like aged whiskey for people who know good music, it's a bonus if you understand the language.
It is indeed a wise music that should be playing every single minutes coz it consists of wisdom and knowledge to live peaceful life
Fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Only fairly recently I discovered Apala music. Have mostly listened to the great Haruna Ishola and love this music. From there have been discovering other artists. First time hearing this .. fantastic.
He was one of the best entertainers. His music is UNIQUE. Danceable and full of wisdom. Rip
Egba Alake, God bless you for bringing all these oldies to our listening pleasure. You an icon in propagating Yoruba culture. Thanks sir
This makes me remember my beloved father Dauda Bolatito .May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Teslim Bolatito Nice music
I Love Ligali Mukaiba Music
Teslim Bolatito Mr. Bolatito, I just read your post and it prompts me to reach out to you; I am very proud of the way you referenced your father. By the way, I am your departed father’s namesake, in fact the name Dauda is a unique name that you don’t see too many people bearing the name. My father named me the unique name back the and I grew up listening to these old artists as I had no choice as my parents are old folks that enjoyed these artist during their era; I continue to listen and have great application for them. God bless, love from Chicago.

Babatunde Folounsho sufilia (civilian) naa ni isekan koo ni won jose, iyen en lodano nitie gede gbe ni........ Nice voice too. I wish some one would shed more light on the artist and even make it better by posting the music. Egba Alake please help. Thank for all your excellent work. Jazaak Allah khayran.
I remember you my great legend father Pa Ajifowowe. RIP Baba Lepe. No music again.
Please does anybody know/remember the Yoruba artiste who sang the song on when the first sets of armed robbers (including Babatunde Folorunso) were shot at Bar Beach? The song started like "1971 Osu Kerin Odun, ojo keta din logun lojo Satide, ero po ni Bar Beach leti Olokun..."
Ayinla Omowura too had a full track for that. Mo ngboro kan koo tie y'emi; won ni kanma woo leesi (lace) Mo t'ile t'oko o... Folorunsho Babatunde lo fe ba leesi (lace) je o fenikeni, ema t'ori oowo loo f'ibon pa'niyan l'oru....
Thanks. The artiste I'm referring to is not Ayinla Omowura
Olaleye Ade s aka Baba waheed or Yusuf olatunji.
@@shesanmichaeliwaloye5249 No. I have the song in my head. It was not a Sakara, or released by a Sakara singer.
I know the song you are referring to. My father had that album. Small record like that. In it he sang ....
I will search my store and see if I can still locate the album and then get the name of the musician on it.
Benni
Pls do anyone know the name of the record that barrister sang for Tejumola's death
