I drove across USA from Seattle to Orlando, I modify my route just to spend one night in Santa Fe. I could not see a lot of the city but what I saw it was SO PRETTY.
Wife and I flew out to Albuquerque and Santa Fe recently while the Balloon Fiesta was going on. It was my 2nd time there and my wife's first. We love Sante Fe and it's historic charm of Pueblo and Navajo culture, the Loretto Chapel and the stairs. We took our first Hot Air Balloon ride with Sante Fe Hot Air Balloon rides and was amazed with that experience. We really love it there and planning to go back there again next year.
New Mexico is a state I haven't been to yet, but now I want to go
wait till you're over 50. Only old white people like it here cause they destroyed it for their awful art
No you don't, New Mexico is last in everything good and first in everything bad. It's a horrible state with horrible people.
I live in CT and NM has been on my bucket list. Finally found a cheap flight under $300 and I am going!!!
I find new Mexico in general to be pretty trashy, mostly the whole place is dirty and everything is broken here, so many gas stations with pumps out of order soda machines out of order, fast restaurants without menu items, they don't sell my cigarettes in the entire state. Everyone is driving like they are on crack, Mexicans galore. Trash place not worth the visit, in Albuquerque NM the Walmarts have security guards all suited up looking like cops guarding the doors, they even have toothpaste locked up it's a disgraceful state! They just need to start over because something went terribly wrong in this terd hole.
I love the Spanish style architecture ❤ outstanding video as per usual!!!
ngl you come here you need chapstick especially in winter... i am dying of dehydration but this place is kinda cool especially downtown & the plaza. come for the luminarios guys (IFAM!!! how could i forget about IFAM and the farmers market... those are great too)
During my childhood I must have visited Santa Fe a dozen or more times a year. I picked up a copy of Esquire magazine back in 1981 and read the (Dorothy Parker? coined) term 'tony' applied to Santa Fe. I wretched to think that it didn't sound like the Santa Fe I had known. I've had to drive through Santa Fe on my way back home for class reunions, funerals, and etc. in the years since, but I haven't stopped.
Hope to go there soon !! Wonderful video !! It looks amazing !!
Artistic town, beutiful and historically rich town.Wishing impressive prosperity to Santa Fe as also to whole New Mexico. Kind regards from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
I'm a dyed-in-the-wool New Englander who would never choose to live west of Lake Champlain (and preferably never even west of Worcester), but if I absolutely had to, I'd pick Santa Fe. I love the desert scenery, the food, and the Native American & Spanish colonial history.
You love Spanish colonial history? Rape, pillaging, murder and conquest. You have no idea what you're talking about.
I’m a Santa Fean who lived in New England for a while. The east coast is NOT my thing (too much rain, humidity and water, and no real mountains except the Presidentials), but it was nice to get a change of pace.
You’re always welcome to visit Santa Fe! This is a great place and there are a lot of tourists and transplants from Mass, VT, and NH here (not many Mainers for some reason).
Wish I could afford to live there. But I might still, though I am pretty happy with NW NewMexico
The authentic food available here is amazing
@@traveloooWTF? Where in Santa Fe lol... Everywhere I've eaten has been terrible and overpriced too.
Santa Fe looks dope!
by dope do you mean full of over priced garbage derivative art and old white people and no night life?
Having stayed in Santa Fe about 90 days in Casitas, Motels, and B&B to wander old streets town aimlessly on local wine. There is a lot more to this place. Snow skiing, Food, Art, Santa Fe Day fairs, and many more. The casinos at Camel Head. Many forests. All kinds of culture. You can buy 50 lbs. bags of jalapenos in the store. Take a pet, this place is pet friendly, they like that spicy food too. To see the stores you only get about 5 min. for there are so many. Ask the locals about places to eat. Santa Fe has been there over 400 yrs. the city shows the style of the inhabitants over that period and to there efforts to maintain the beauty of their city. what ever is currently taking place in Santa Fe good or bad Santa Fe will always be there.
We just returned from visiting Santa Fe for the first time. Loved the food, the markets, art scene, Bandolier Nat. Monument, Los Alamos, the people, Farmers Market. Only one thing that annoyed me: what's up with all the loud cars and trucks speeding around the town for hours? We stayed at one of the best hotels in town but it sounded like a NASCAR race outside our hotel room. That is the one thing that really annoyed me. Otherwise, a beautiful state.
I really want to check out all these markets in Santa Fe
why? Santa Fe is just old white people no real art or culture or music
I’m going to Santa Fe in April of next year the last time I’ve been there was almost 11 years ago
The Santa Fe hot air balloon experience seems really cool
Those air balloons are always on the news for killing people. Everything else there is lovely.
It's a nice place, a lot safer than Albuquerque.
I've never been to Santa Fe I did been to Albuquerque though
Thanks so much for checking out our Santa Fe travel video, and we hope you make it there soon!
Berbere Morrocan touch in this city 😉
Santa Fe is called "The City Different"? I think that's all I need to know, I need to pack my bags and visit asap
it's a lie. It's just a southwest themed gift shop over run by super old white people who shut down all night life and culture no real art
One thing people don’t really get before they come here is that our weather is insane. We have a long, cold, mostly dry winter (November-March), a volatile spring (April-May), and an often rainy summer due to the monsoon (June-early September). Fall has the best weather, along with late spring and early summer before the monsoon gets going.
The forecast this week calls for highs near 20 C (70 F), high winds and fire danger, and then *snow* for goodness’ sake …
The elected officials not governing our city is creating chaos for the people visiting and people living in Santa Fe. The loud cars that take over our city day and night is an embarrassment to this city and the tax payers. I moved to Santa Fe over 14 years ago and love it, but the last few years of increased noise from the modified car mufflers have taken over the sound scape and is causing noise pollution that's unacceptable most cities. My family and friends will no longer visit due to lack of sleep either in hotel rooms or at my place due to the noise. There are laws in place to curb the illegal cars but it's not being enforced. This is unfair and I don't know to approach it. I have contacted the governor's office and never received a reply, same with the mayor. Do our elected officials ever step outside to see what's going on in this city? This has been going on for a long time and there's been more than ample time to fix this.
See my comment above re the noisy cars. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I even called the local police dept to complaint but the person I spoke to said that they were "busy with other things".

IS THERE ZOZOBRÁ?
HOW WAS IFAM JUST IGNORED 😭
This video has a lot of nice shots but is unwatchable due to over cutting.
Music is way too loud compared to voice
You should know that it is NOT Canyon Arts Road. Arts is not part of the name. It is Canyon Road.
Thank you for the feedback Leon! We hope you enjoyed the Santa Fe travel guide!
Poor roads, health care, schools, government and everything stated. But their are plenty of
cannabis shops.
My ancestors laid the foundations for Santa Fe to be what it is today, Pedro de Leyva and Isabel Muños, faithful to the kingdom of Spain
Who come here because breaking bad
When you are making a video that has information, I don't care about the background music almost making it hard to hear, that music would work if it's only visuals I am looking at. Add to that no names displayed for things you are talking about. Overall terribru
Hey there, you can easily turn on "closed caption" to view the entire video's script as the video plays
My attention span is a bit longer than one second. This is dreadful to watch, you don't have to change the image on view every 0.8 seconds.
It’s interesting that when describing the people’s and cultures in New Mexico, they always fail to mention Mexicans. Why? I am Mexican and I’m offended.

So many homeless people and druggies. Nasty!
@@LGAussieno more than your average city in this country, but nowhere near as bad like it is in Appalachia.
Santa Fe needs to put up a warning sign in every entrance to the city that says:
Danger! Dumb Liberal Democrat Zone Ahead!

When you say the oldest capital you mean everywhere you go you only see super old white people right? In other cities you see people under 50 here it's all the old white people with the backpacks and on bikes and in the sqaure we are nothing more than a nursing home with a southwest themed gift shop. no music no art(art here is a joke pigeon holed) no night life no energy
shops
I moved to deming but had to move my heart ❤️ never left there
