Agree, except Mark Telea over WJ. Most of the time Will gets put into space by excellent assist from his team. Mark is devastating and unpredictable with ball in hand

Of players to feature for 400+ minutes in men’s test rugby in 2023, Telea ranked 1’st for both defenders beaten (9.1) and line breaks per 80 min (2.4)
Totally agree. Telea is the slipperiest player I've ever seen. I've not seen Jordan put the same moves on defenders. I love watching him.

If you wanna compare players performance and who is the best , also take into the account the amount of international matches they play every year. At club level , Botia is the best 7 last year in my opinion. What i am saying is Fiji don't play enough matches compared to the other nations to be compared to the others whose players play 10+ matches every year.
This is an extremely valid point. On the international scene the tier 2 nations are at a disadvantage in terms of playing time and opposition. World Rugby are working on this.

Number 2 and 1 should swap ardie should have gotten the irb player of the year back in 2022 but instead rugby went with Le Flier. Out of guilt rugby went with Ardie this time and again wronged the rightful recipient which was Eben in 2023.
I doubt it was given to him "out of guilt". Eben's performance at this rugby world cup was amazing and was definitely the player of world cup IMO, however, I think Ardie had a really good performance all year and has basically been the best performing all black for the past 2-3 years

Kolbe featured In the top 20. His performances were a bit inconsistent throughout the year to make it into the top 10. Doesn’t take away from the face that Kolbe was one of the stand out players at the RWC in 2023.

Agreed. Cheslin featured in the top 20 though. The argument being that his performances throughout the year were too inconsistent albeit having a phenomenal World Cup.

Take out Olivon and slip Savea in at 3 behind Eben. If Eben and Malcolm were from any other country they’d win Player of Year repeatedly since 2018.

Kolbe basically single-handedly beat France in the World Cup quarter final. I will select Kolbe above Penaud and Telea all day.
Kolbe can play 9, 10, 11, 14, 15. He's also an international place kicker. He's in the top 4 highest paid players in the sport; none of the players selected is near him. Two-time World Champion, outplayed Penaud in the quarters, ans scoring against France to send the host packing.
People are still talking about his charge- down of the Ramos kick. Show me any other player with the fitness and skill level.
I agree completely. Kolbe man handled jordan in the final, and destroyed penaud with pure pace to score that try in the QF. I can't take this channel seriously
