I would highly reccomend you buy one if you have the money or ask for one for christmas if your still young enough for christmas. This is a BMX version with a Cromo 9T driver with 6 pawls/springs, female chromo axle. Subsctibe and Share!

i dont care how it sounds or how long it spins just that its smooth and suits me..
I dont get how people prefer the sound of the hub over how good it spins.
its not about the loudness of the hub its the engagement point it has i like.
I broke my neck on a dirtjump in my backyard last October. Luckly my nerve damage fully went away after about a month; I was in a neckbrace for 3 months and it took between 6-7 months to get back in good shape and fooling around on my bike again. Although Im just doing little tech tricks and im done with anything big, Im glad I never sold my bike. I was origonally only going to only MTB through trails, but none of my friends do that. Veladrome is pretty cool, but wait a while before you sell it.

To those of you criticizing him for 'not greasing his bearings' or 'running the chain too tight': profile elites have 204 points of engagement per rotation creating a lot of friction. This is the reason why the wheel slows so quickly.

Profile makes some high ass quality hubs dude.. Maybe not the greatest at everything else, but their hubs are prime :)

Thats why you get the mini's. They are built for streeet.
it does stretch at a very very slow rate as in after a year it may have stretched 2-3mm's at most its not the metal its just because of the constant pull of the chain and the resistance it pulls the metal making tiny microscopic fractures so it does stretch

also, to both of you- the time it spins while its not on the ground doesnt really matter unless it is rubbing and/or doesnt spin at all. when there is weight on the wheel and its on the ground, it will roll due to momentum. in all reality, it doesnt even matter how long it spins like it is in the video

its got over 200 points of contact, so yah its got alot of friction and thus spins less. plus its probly a new hub and the bearings havent brocken in yet.
actually freecoasters nowadays with the adjustment pin can have slack less than a normal cassette
Fair enough, I think I'll keep the Mini SS in sight, though. Or the Primo Mix/Re-mix? Had my Shadow Raptor hub for a while now and want something with quicker engagement...
@kain gaus the chains tight so the cranks dont spin when in the air :)
also the reason the wheel didnt spin very well was because it soundedlike something was rubbing against the tire
yes but it is pulling on the driver which has a bearing inside it which clearly isn't doing much good otherwise the wheel would spin properly

actually, ur both partially wrong and partially right. he is right about it having to do with the chain, but thats not the only thing. pulling on the driver means the pawls are pushing against the ratchet ring harder, creating more friction, slowing the spin. it really doesnt effect the bearings, just the drivers pawls. it will also cause the teeth to wear out faster on the outside and inside of your driver.

Does it really matter how quick it stops ? It is smooth as fuck and engages instantaneously. U have ur own opinion u may hate it but i love it doesn't matter about peoples opinions it matters if i like it and how it rides..

the driver has alot of drag with 6 pawls and 244 points of engagement. mines the same way aswell as everyone else i know.

so loud...i got a freecoaster from a friend, don't really like it, but having a silent bike is amazing
My wherl isnt fucked.. It stops that fast because of how much friction there is inside of the hub and sounds like that because it has 240 points of engagement and has 6 pawls and springs..
not at the moment because my leg is in cast but i will be riding next year

Mine definitely arent as loud, but they will go for a lot longer than what yours just did. How much of the factory grease did you take out?

All that money and it never skips and has instant engajement, and dosent spin for long because of how many engajements it slows it down

yup... profile puts out highest point of engagement hubs I know. even more than chris kings. about the coolest sounding thing when you manual rhythm sections or when jumping packs of jumps
I have the premium cassette and it's much louder than that.
I've broken my leg left 2 and right leg 1 time and left arm 4 times and right arm 1 time and I'm still not quitting!!!

Any ideas on how to make them louder? I have one & its de-greased and put primo springs in it. Still doesn't seem that loud. Anything else I could do?...
