I did this trip on Royal Enfields with a group a few years ago, same route pretty much. We ended up at Muktinath Temple instead. Your video brings back great memories. It really helped, having a lot of dirt bike riding experience - with those rough hills, you gotta hit them with speed and keep the throttle on. It seems counterintuitive, but the RE's are actually quite competent bikes for off-road riding, they're surprisingly capable. But you've got to keep your speed up to have a hope of not falling off. Seeing you guys fall off brought a lot of memories back 😅

Are you sure you can’t? You can easily get to the Himalaya in India, or even Nepal. You don’t need to stay in fancy hotels, you don’t need to have fancy things. The only thing that might be a problem is time. Most people can’t afford to take time off. But if you can, go and do it!

Thank You!! I needed to watch this. I recently took ten weeks for Me And My Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to ride around Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, but on roads, in my tent and cabins. Nothing like what you did. The same adventure spirit is still there though. The leaving in the morning not knowing what the day will bring. I only dropped mine 3 times ;-) Before I even made it home the plan had formulated to sell Everything, house, car, down to where the only things I will own would be on my bike, and then disappear for two years. Now that I'm safe in my house which has a magic box on the wall that puts the temperature exactly where I want it, I'm getting scared. With every load to Goodwill and every eBay sale I ship out, I'm thinking what if at the last minute I wimp out and don't go through with it. That is such an easy slippery slope to fall down. I am finding that the fear of not following through with my dream is scarier than anything I encountered on the road. Your video was a great boost to my morale today. Thank you. And thank you for being brave enough to share not only your experiences but Your Fears.

So nice docu......u guys should keeping making them whenever u get the chance...however, you guys had the most appropriate bikes but they had lower displacement and torque. Should have taken bullet 500 or himalayan 415.

It took so many days for you to reach there. We Nepalese used to get there around 3 days very comfortably. Enfield is very heavy bike not good for off roads. If you come to Nepal next time for a ride. we can help to you manage your trip... Respect and love from Nepal...

Thanks Suden. Yeah we like to visit a lot of places along the way and the roads were being built so there were a lot of delays and closures. This type of bike goes nowhere fast offroad haha!

@@OpenRoads I have seen lot of Indians tourist come with Royal Enfield and other streets bikes. Which are so heavy that if we feel down it gonna hurt more. And it's not easy to pick it up when you are alone. I was there before 2 years back. Planning to have a ride after this rainy season.
