Are you happy with your sofa? Would you get a DIY sofa?!
Having your feet touch the ground when you sit on the sofa... This is such a big comfort point. With being under 5"7' so many sofas are so big with being Sofas that pull out to beds. Thanks as well for showing how the modular ottoman pieces look in practice, they seem to really give that sprawled out on the couch comfort.
I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Mac. It's so hard to lose our pets. You gave her a wonderful four years.

Hi. I read somewhere if you have slippy cushions you can use that bumpy drawer liner under the seat. I also believe that Amazon sells rolls/sheets of the liner. Not sure if it works, but hope this helps. 🙂

Hi I'm so sorry about the loss of your pup. Sadly my 12 year old Greyhound has cancer will not get to enjoy this furniture. Your videos and opinions have convinced me it's the best choice for my other three when we move in our new home in two weeks. Dolly will hopefully get to experience a few days in a full back yard before we say goodbye.
I look forward to learning new ideas from you and your mom.

So, comfort absolutely is subjective, but stiffness isn’t. It either is or it isn’t. My neighbor bought quite a few pieces of Home Reserve furniture and it was god awful stiff. Looked and felt like something you’d see/feel in a dentist office waiting room. I understand everyone has different needs for a couch, but if you’re looking for something you can lounge around in and binge watch tv for the weekend, this isn’t it. Having friends over and sitting completely straight up for conversation, this brand may suite your needs. My neighbor kept it for a little over a month before finally getting rid of it.

Thank you. My first greyhound did shed a lot, but the fabric didn't hold or show the fur.

Thank you. Painting of the wood really helped with the smell, but I would say there was a slight smell inside the seat and ottoman for probably 6 months. Nothing overwhelming, very faint.

How's the neck support. I just tried some modular couches at Living Spaces and noticed their backs are very low and it goes to about my shoulders unless I slump. I'm 5'10". My head and neck would get super uncomfortable if I sit upright if the back isn't high enough. Some other couches were very comfortable but weren't modular.
I'd love something like this for VR since modular couches seem super light and easy to move out of the way for VR sessions while still looking like a super comfortable couch normally.

I have seen lots of complaints about the splintery wood flaking onto things but when I see your storage inside everything looks nice and covered. Is that something you did or did all of those covers come from Homereserve? Thank you for sharing your experience. The longer time frame for your review is helpful.
We painted the wood to seal it before assembling the sofa. That really helps keep the wood from flaking.
Did you contact them about the wobbly arm? Curious re customer service.
She should call customer service. Their customer service is the best of the best. I have a sectional for at least 10 years.

Yes, to seal them and help with the smell of the wood.

For anyone looking wondering about this, Home Reserve just updated their options to include a deep Seat option. We unfortunately dislike the standard depth option. If you sit up straight with feet on the floor the regular is for you. If you're someone that doesn't sit with your feet on the floor you'll want the deeper option.

This looks like it held up really well. I honestly thought the cushions would have sagged pretty quickly but it doesn't look like they did! As long as the puppies like it, it stays LOL. Wonder how much she is going to sniff it out once you wash it because the scent changed.
She will be sniffing it for sure! 😆
