    The Pajero sport looks a bit more refined, but I prefer the boxy shape of the old Pajero, and the old-school SUV looks.

    I am a former owner of a Mitsubishi Pajero and Nativa having just returned from Kuwait where I owned and drove both for the past 15 years. I was very happy with both vehicles and look forward to owning a new Pajero in Canada next year.

  • @francisamiller7493

    I'm on my second Pajero and like everything about the vehicle with the possible exception that, when towing a heavy camper, the rear tyres wear faster than solid axles that I have owned.
    The 3.2 turbo diesel is a real beauty, switching from 2x4 to 4x4 on the fly is a nice feature for a bloke that lives down a dusty gravel road. And the fuel economy of around 9.5L/100kms isn't too bad at all.
    Sad to not see Mitsubishi not continuing with the real Pajero as the Sport just fails to interest me in any department.

      Sure man. The pajero is a good car. But the pajero sport can do anything what you said. I would say its more fuel effecient. Unless you are an american. If you had one you wouldnt say this. This Sport just towed a 3 ton trailer. He went to many offroad paths worldwide. He is my travelling buddy. I am sad that the pajero stopped making. Aswell as Lancer. But they just have to keep going right?

    I have the NT Pajero and by far is the best car I've owned. Incredibly reliable, and will go just about anywhere I point it (the twin lockers, lift and offroad tyres do help of course). The Sport has great low range gearing (better than the Pajero), hill decent control and even smarter traction control. While the 8-speed auto must be a nice thing, the Asin 5-speed in the Pajero is bullet proof - there is a reason why Mitsi were comfortable giving a 10 year (yes 10) warranty on the drive train.

    • @BelloBudo007
      @BelloBudo007 Před 6 lety +3

I chose the Exceed over the sports as it felt more sturdy and smoother in power for towing a 2 Horse Angle float, but so glad I bought this now as they might be extinct soon.

    Im shocked Mitsubishi hasn't tried to market it here in North America given how truck and SUV crazy its been here lately. What do ALL carmakers want right now? a 7 seat crossover, and Mitsubishi has one, but not here. Then again, I kinda feel like they've generally given up in North America so maybe its just a case of "meh"

      I get where he;s coming from! You just stereotype. I'm an Aussie, so what?. The issue is, that once yu put the gear in the boot, there is no space left in the PS. It is also narrower than the real Pajero. It is based on a Ute/ Pick-up and it shows.
      So, until you get in one, test drive it, think of the things you will be carrying, and NOT towing, and gowing for a camping trip where you need most things inside the cab, then reply accordingly with a proper answer.
      Camping is normally a week long thing, not a weekend at a campsite! Remote wilderness, no access to anything except what you bring with you.
      Also holidays as the OP(Original Poster) mentioned, would mean more than a casual weekend.
      So again, where does your comment about "is that family of 4 fat americans" need to mentioned, unless you are a troll ;-)

    • @Aries14701
      @Aries14701 Před 7 lety +1

      Pajer10 Clicks: some "7 seaters" are not real 7 seaters. I have an MDX, of which is a TRUE 7 seater, this is an occasional short trip 7 seater. There is no boot space left if you use the 3rd row. So your point is mute.
      So his point is valid.

    Good day, can anyone who owns both or have driven both tell me which offers the better ride quality? Which one has a quieter cabin and handles bumps better?

    It's insane how costly Pajero is in Australia !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In UAE you get a brand new 3.8 V6 Pajero with Full option for less than 24 000 USD.....

      Nope, it's not. As an owner of this 4WD, the dashboard is a disaster in bright sunlight. The Mitsubishi design team's selection of speedo and tacho colors and lighting makes it utterly impossible to read when sun shines on it directly, or indirectly on a bright day. Extremely dangerous in heavy motorway traffic around speed traps. Death stares you in the face in this car.

      I haven't had that issue. Try turning up the brightness of the dash lights all the way. Can see clearly after doing that.
