gidle truly always have fun with their songs!!!! I love the actual meaning behind the song, it's so good. I genuinely think its them making fun of the stereotypes of a "wife"
But do you know what they're saying in the Korean parts? It's pretty racy, and turning the stereotypes around.

I think the song is challenging the need to be a traditional wife where a wife is more of a maid than a partner. They’re all dressed the same to symbolize the cookie-cutter type wives that old fashioned husbands want

I have to admit that some of the English lyrics are a bit cringe, but I can ignore that. Overall, I like the song and the concept of the MV. Basically, they were giving me their version of The Stepford Wives.
The english lyrics are innuendoes for something. lmao. It's actually quite brilliant if you get the whole context.
It’s wordplay. It got you thinking about the lyrics. That’s what they want to happen. Plus they wanted it to be fun and silly while conveying a deeper message.
I get it. It’s funny, catchy and unserious but personally is not my cup of tea, it’s somewhat empty and I’m not a fan of the lyrics (even though people are saying they’re meaningful). Thank you for the reaction!

Yuqi's name is not pronounced "Ookie." It's Yoo-chee, meaning "Jade Rain" in Chinese.
It's both. Even Yuqi herself says Oo-kie. Yoo-chee is the CHINESE pronunciation. Oo-kie is the KOREAN pronunciation.

Yes, that's the proper pronunciation in Chinese. But, she doesn't use _'Yoo-chee'_ in Korea, because it means _'childish/immature'_ in Korean. So, she uses the direct pronunciation of Chinese to Korean, which comes out as _'Oo-gi'._
