    This siren is part of the Spalding County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested every Wednesday at 11:30 am, and is controlled by the Spalding County Emergency Management Agency

    We were originally going to do two sirens, one here in Griffin, and the other in Thomaston. But plans have been changed, as the Upson County EMA posted that they are postponing the siren test due to "Overcast Weather". At least we got one siren instead of nothing. When the sirens were about to test, The siren was glitching a lot. And
