      @Edward Jam then you are oblivious and delusional. even plenty of current games do NOT properly support that aspect ratio. some games do not work at all in that aspect ratio. some games simply zoom in thus cutting off some info from the top and bottom. some games have screwed up hud elements even if you do get the image to properly scale. some games dont properly display on screen effects outside of the 16:9 area. most games do not do the cut scenes in anything other than 16:9. some games distort the edges of the image outside of 16:9. FFS you can spend more time trying to tweak and fix games than actually playing them. hell there is even a whole website dedicated to trying fix and address most of these issues. bottom line is that it is YOU that is talking out of your ass. you are the same type of moron that will tell people SLI works great in all your games too...

      @Samukr. Depends, but since I'm rocking an rtx 3080 and playing mostly Single Player games my gpu averages 160fps depending on the game and settings, so imo this is the sweet spot, I also play CoD a lot and going from my old Acer 144hz monitor to this one, is like night a day, I'll say 165hz is more than enough for me, the image itself is smooth and no more blurriness that I had from my old monitor. 21:9 should be supported by every game, the reason that some games don't support ultrawide because the developer block it. Dragon quest 11 ver 1.0 can use any 21:9 resolutions by editting the hex value. The dev didn't like it and updated the game version and ultrawide doesn't work anymore. Some people object that not all programs are optimized in 21 9, like older movies and video games, but what a problem it is ? 33% more pixel to render, 33% less frames and more VRAM/RAM speed/size would be required...
      GTX 1060 6GB / R7 570x can do 2560x1080 without issue (60-100fps gameplay)...
      For 3560x1440p you do need to upgrade to something way stronger and "4k" ready since you have 150% more pixels to render (massive difference)
      There aren't middle grounds when it comes to ultra-wide and wish 2:1 (2560x1280) was a thing since I don't find 21:9 been the perfect aspect impo.
      2560x1440 16:9 (80% more pixels) is more demanding than 21:9 2560x1080p, so that's something good about it and is where a jump into GTX 1070/2060 might be required for most AAA titles.

    You have to choose between losing some upper part of the view (21:9) or some side part (16:9) i don't like wide screens it looks like compressed to down The more square the screen, the more balanced the view

    • @JMAX79
      @JMAX79 Před 2 lety +1

      Only on games not optimized for 21:9, otherwise it’s the same and you don’t loose upper/lower going 21:9 if the game was made to support ultrawide.

    • @MisTTwisted
      @MisTTwisted Před rokem

      you lose like 3 cm lmao by that logic16:9 looks like sideways compressed version of 21:9. And the only reason 21:9 looks like compressed to down version of 16:9 is because you are looking the comparison here. If you only had 21:9 monitor in front of yourself, you wouldn't know about it and therefore there would be nothing to bother you.

      For CZcams it depends if the uploader optimizes their video in 21:9 otherwise the standard is 16:9 on youtube. But for Movies. The standard is made for 21:9 because they film movies using 21:9. Therefore, movies and games are meant to be viewed in 21:9. Btw if you watch youtube videos with a 21:9 monitor there will be black bars on the left and right

      @@aurasushii3676 34" should be compared to 32" 16:9 and the last one has around 6cm of vertical advantage. Don't understand why you are all comparing it to 27" (even 27 has 1cm of advantage though over 34"). So personally for me the best option is 40" 21:9 which is far more expensive though but it's the same height as 32" 16:9
