Is any chance you could do a video on how to wash/detail stainless without leaving micro scratches? I use a high quality mitt with 2 rinse buckets after a pressure wash and still get micro scratches
Try less pressure on the Mitt!. If your foaming the soap should do most of the work. Are you doing brightener work on the metal or just washing?
Are the scratches coming from bugs or other debris maybe? When stuff is perfect polished almost anything scratches it.
Just washing mate, I'll give the foam and less pressure a go, I've been pressure washing the foam off then going to soapy water in bucket so I'll try doing another coat of foam and mitt with that, cheers mate
Yea it could be leftover debris mate Im going to give what the other guy said a go
I wish all semi trucks, wheels would spin like that without being locked to do to breaks .
It makes things easier. Thanks for watching.
8:22 as I mentioned I’m a very new beginner.I’ve noticed that there are a lot of different compound bars how do you know which bar of compound goes with which buff? Thanks
The buffs and compounds are relatively industry standard. The stiffer buffs are for cutting and softer buffs for coloring. Your darker bars like brown are for cutting aluminum. The black for cutting stainless. The lighter color bars like green, white or purple are for coloring and finishing high gloss. Check out some of my other videos on buffs and compounds. I think you will find them very helpful.
Great job 👌👌One question though how did u get over the valve stem 🤔
Hand polish works best to get in there. That and a little elbow grease.
Do I need to cut with a orange and brown instead of a yellow and brown and what do I color with.
Please shoot me an email Evan@goshineon.com or call the office 920-717-3140.
Im gonna ask a dumb question; why the mask whenever polishing.
If you were grinding I'd understand. Great work though! 👏
Definitely not a dumb question. But when polishing like this there is a lot of dust and fabric blowing off of the wheel. Even though we aren't grinding there is a lot blowing at us. You can actually see some of it in the sun light in this video. Many old polishers that didn't wear respirators have what is called miners lung from all the metal dust and polish dust they have inhaled over the years.
@@EvanStegerMetalPolishing Thanks for the reply and info. I understand and great video
Evans + - for how many wheels does a orange 10" airway last.?
Is there a trick for 17.5s or 19.5s? We have allot of small rims on the trailers
Man i need more practice, your first cut always looks better than my final cut lol
