Vickie, when I was in a Poor Clare Community for 30 years, Mother Angelica was my Superior for most of the years. She said the very same thing that you shared. God calls us to respond rather than react. I am aware that when I react, it is wounds and fears that make me have the knee jerk reaction. I quickly remind myself that God is in control of every situation. I then take a deep breath and ask for His help. When we call upon the Lord, He is always faithful. Every time that I have reacted to a situation, it never turns out very well. Holy Spirit, grant me the grace to always respond in love rather than react in fear. Thank you for your meaningful short videos. We are two Diocescan Hermits that live in a Laura. We love to help others receive inner healing from our Triune God. Much peace!
