- Weekend in my life before I'm off to LA!!! It was super well balanced, enough me time & lots of friend time! Started it off with pilates with Maddy, then a fun social afternoon with Sarah + dinner with Ally! Then lunch with high school friends & book club sunday night!! So so so fun! I feel very lucky :)

I am in a bookclub with 9 others too, and that is what we do…rotate the hosting. On 29 Feb - leap day - I’m doing a 1-day reading challenge. Read a whole book start to finish on Leap Day (or you have to wait til next leap day to finish 😅).
I’m so happy for you that you have such a great community in Toronto. Life is so fulfilling when you have great pals alongside you. I am in NWO and hoping one day I will also have a group of great friends who inspire one another!

I am in a book club! When my friends started having kids we had to start doing it every second month but we still wanted to get together so we decided to get together on the other months and just call it club club 😂 we do seasonally themed activities! This month we played board games 😎
Also, it’s super normal to talk about the book for 15 to 45 minutes depending on how good it is and then spending the rest of the time just talking about life 😆
Well. I was in such a crap mood this morning and then, ta da! Rescued by Tara's vlog. Going into the rest of the day in a better head space. Thank you Tara❤

Audiobooks are so great to stay productive while still getting your “reading” in! Just binged the whole Fourth Wing while working on a huge project for work a few weeks ago.
I try with audio but they always make me too sleepy!

a book club is the perfect fit vibe for you. drinking wine, having a cheese board and sharing your favourite scenes to each book. 🥰 also, audiobooks are truly the best! i find it way better than reading it naturally tbh. it just a nice way to hear the book being read to than reading it yourself.. that may just be me 😅

Book club its where its at when your in your 30's lol I love it tho. The older you get, the harder it is to make friends and having an outlet like a book club is always a win. It's a great way to stay socially engaged specially with people that enjoy the same thing.
I love being in a book club! You get the opportunity to read books you wouldn’t normally pick up. I feel like I’ve learned so many new things in this last year because of it! I think you are going to love it!

I felt the audiobook cos that’s how I started getting into reading but I was so surprised how fast you were actually going 😳🤣 I usually listen 1.5x too but it seems like it’s 2.5x! Haha I love listening to audiobook while doing chores tho. Makes you so focused.
I joined a BC that started in December and it’s been so fun connecting with women in my area! And have already made some really great friends who I hang out with weekly. Truly the best thing to have come from it 🥰
Girl I know how much you loved Fourth Wing. You MUST listen to the audio version. I literally could not stop listening and finished the entire 20+ hour book over a weekend. The narration was amazing! I love audio books!
So cool, we started our book club in 2000! Love Audio, especially while cleaning house, organizing, getting ready, working out, etc. FAB!

Wow, i couldn't even get a single word from that audio book its so fast haha i cant concentrate on reading physical books. My mind wanders too much. So iv been listening to audio books for years. I fall asleep to them at night its the best thing ♥

So that’s when you choose a permanent day and time. ie the 3 rd Thurs of the month at 7 pm so you do not schedule anything else. I have dinner with the same friends and we use that day and time of each month to meet at a different place.

That's how the last book club I was in worked. We would talk about the book for about 20 minutes, and then ransom convos for the rest of the night. We did it at a local Italian place so we got yummy Italian to chat over. Covid put a pause on the group... and we haven't gone back. I do miss it.
Might want to consider silent book club. They have them around different cities and you go to read your own book and then socialize with people afterwards. Great way to meet new people!

I basically always have an audio book and a book book going so that when I have to get up and stop reading I can listen to the other book while I clean or work out or drive. And when I’m tired of the noise I’m so ready to sit in silence and read. 10/10 recommend. I try to keep them very different genres!

I am in a book club with several of my friends. We read 2 books a month and I love it! I listen to a lot of audio books because they are just so convenient and fit my schedule better than physical books. I still read physical books, though. Sometimes, I have multiple books going at one time. I really enjoyed Twisted Love. Hope you do too!!

I love audio books, especially since there is so much I do that I can't read a book at the same time. I usually listen at 1.15, that's my sweet spot. Non-fiction sometimes 1.20x.

🎧📚I almost exclusively have listened to audiobooks for the last four years. I absolutely love it! Also I usually listen to my books between 1.5 to 2.5 speed depending on the reader. It's the ADHD. 😁
Ponds is an old staple! My grandma used that back in the day. I just used cetaphil face wash and it takes up all my makeup perfectly.
The beauty of an audio book is that you can clean and do Sunday things AND listen to your books! 😂

fun tip: try the acotar series audiobook but in the graphic audio version! in audible they have “dramatized adaptation” next to them. at least try to listen to the samples they’re so fun literally a movie in ur head (iykyk 😆)
they have full cast narrators, sound effects, cinematic music... so good!

Tara, I just finished the Co-worker by Freida McFadden, who I had never read but I tried her because of you. And I LOVED it…so many twists! Thanks. Now you need to get your agent to get you a deal with a publisher, free books, etc.
