I believe that the Vizzavi sponsorship IDs were edited out from its original broadcast. The original broadcast of this Pop Idol episode originally had the Vizzavi sponsorship IDs.
As much as I appreciate these videos, I would REALLY like to see them in 720p or better. Does ANYONE know where you can get good downloads of American Idol (every season)?
@@thequalitydan HD broadcasts began in 1998. Much like when color TV first came out, the broadcasters were airing color shows long before color TVs became popular. 720p was the accepted standard by 2001 when American Idol debuted. Video tape took longer to catch up, but most, if not all, films and TV shows that were filmed can be reproduced in 1080p or even 4K.
@@kd2mill But VHS video tape, where this was sourced from,, doesn't carry 4K or even 1080p. I have files from the ITV Archive that aren't even available in 1080p, just DVD quality.
@@thequalitydan I get what you're saying. They released VHS copies of the show, but the original broadcasts were 720p, even if there was no medium to reproduce it on. They should be able to release every season on DVD at 720p quality.
I find it SOO annoying when contestants come out snivelling, whining, bitching, and saying, "they were SO rude, they were SO nasty, they were brutal" in response to feedback like "You don't have a great voice" and "you won't be a Pop Idol". Precious babies! By definition they'd never make it in the industry (which I'm in), with such over-sensitivity, lack of self-awareness, lack of humility and spoiled-bratted-ness (lol is that a word? ☺). This business will eat you alive if you let it. People who are upset and offended by someone saying "no" - even if it IS said rudely! - need to find a profession where they are never corrected, judged, criticized, found wanting or pulled up. Like, say.... ummm...oh! Like NOTHING. I'm a pretty tolerant person except about this, because I know the realities of the music industry. If I'd behaved like these people at the beginning 0of my career, I'd have given myself an upper cut.
