COMMENT below and let me know what you think of these VERTEX Shocks!?!? #jeepwave
Are you still running these shocks? Had any issues?
I’ve installed the vertex all around in my Tacoma 2019, I have icons all around in my wife 2016 and let me tell you, now that I have a comparison point I can tell you the vertex are worth it every single penny
Mine are being installed now….
Edit.
3 months later. I love them. Adjustable is niiiiice. Super smooth ride!
What number setting are you driving on daily
A video update on how well these have worked out for you since you have installed them would be nice.
I am running the fox shocks... thr same once you had... but for a 2.5 inch lift on 35s... they are very smooth... love them... will never change
Yah I had the same experience but I love bringing you guys new products, ideas and videos so this will be a fun experiment to see how well these compare! Thanks for waching
Definitely look good! Jeeps on point too! I'm running Kings in my JK.
Gilbert Hernandez
Damn kings are the offroad King
Thanks for watching! Kings are beast!
You can’t beat kings bro
Agreed
Great review. I'm interested to see how they hold up for that price tag
Thanks! Yes that is the ultimate question!!
@@adventuredex how are they holding up?
Good talk
So are these holding up? I looked through your videos and I didnt see a follow up. I'm real interested in getting a set. Hows the ride? My Zone shocks are toast. thanks
Man those things are beasts! How did you like those Fox Shocks? I had them installed when my JKS lift went on while I have been on deployment and I am excited to give them a try in a few weeks when I get home.
Thanks for the comment! I am enjoying them so far! We will see how they hold up over time! Thanks for watching!
I will get them soon, thanks for the review this make my mind on getting this ones.
You’ll really like them! He ability to adjust the damping is very cool!!
If you want to test the shocks you should drive faster on the bumpy road!!!!
Thanks Dex, another great video! Always looking forward to them! Those VERTEX are friggin massive! I just put Rubicon Express ones, as part of their 3.5" lift package, and have been happy with their performance.
Thanks for the support!
It looks like you lost a few inches of travel compared to those fox shocks, that would be my only worry. overall they look well built though.
Thanks for the comment! That might be the case but the ability to adjust them sort of compensates that. In the video I had them on the least resistance setting for easy install and to test the overall travel. So far so good!! Thanks for the support #jeepwave
He is a mall crawler, so I think he is fine 🤣
If you look at Compressed and extended lengths you gain quite a bit of travel.
@ and there you are. The cry baby about how jeeps are supposed to be used.... Idiot.
@@nicholasnelson6073 looks like he lost travel
I’m trying to to this shocks on my Tacoma, the model for Tacoma, I got the regulars with 3” lift right, if I put this it a big diferente and how smooth it feel ?
What are you going to do with your Fox Shocks? Could definitely use them if you don’t need them anymore 😇
Haha ill let you know Joe! Thanks for watching!
Props to RC for stepping up their shock game but at that price point they're pretty much competing with Falcon, in fact they're pricier than Falcon & Falcon has the game on smash right now. Convincing people to drop $1600 and roll the dice on them is gonna be a task, even if they are better. They wouldve been better off giving them a their own different identity and just calling them Vertex w/o the RC and create distance from RC association...just like Teraflex did with the Falcons.
100% agree
Manufactured by RadFlo!! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Nice Shocks for sure, I'll take your old shocks My Jeep Brother lol
Thanks for the support as always!
I run zone shocks are really good 4”
Thanks Luis!
I just ordered these today for my Silverado!!! Coilovers for the front for Silverados but I will post a video of testing them out compared to stock
Hey there! How have the Vertexes held up for you?? Driven much washboard in your Silverado on them? Thanks!
Any updates as to how they handle offroad?
I just ordered these! Great video!
How did the on road ride compare to the fox shocks?
The instructions on the rough country site says you need to install a bridge at the top for the shock. But your video you didn't. How come?
I think that’s for the JL with remote reservoir. This is JK and the reservoir is piggy backed.
So, after 5 months on the jeep, what do you think? Hope all is well with you, haven't uploaded in a while.
I have these installed. I cant figure out what the settings really do. The instructions and videos say "tune them". OK.... is setting one the most stiff and eight the least, OR... is eight the stiffest? I really can't tell. with 8 settings each, I would think setting 4 would be like normal and each of the ends would be significantly different. I can't tell
Did you re-gear your Jeep to accommodate the larger tires? I couldn’t find a video on your channel about it.
Unfortunately, haven’t had the opportunity to regear yet as nobody in my area offers this service. I would recommend it but from my experience the Jeep is still very capable. I do plan on regearing in the future
AdventureDex I have a sport unlimited as well and was weary about lifting it prior to re-gearing. Did you notice a big drop in acceleration or highway speeds?
@@adventuredex hey I am also in Nassau and and was curious if you ever found anyone to do a regear?
Unfortunately not 👎🏼
Can i throw those shocks in a stock JK 07? or do i need it lifted ?
AD do you still have you Fox ones? Can I have them?
How did these shocks end up working out
Thanks for the video. Sweet ride! How do they compare to the fox 2.0 ride, travel, etc
try doing a high speed run on a gravel road with wash boards.
with wash boards?
when the road has a series of bumps.it looks like the old wash boards that people used to wash their clothes with.
czcams.com/video/2OlM7yeFeuI/video.html
Ohh okay gotcha!
AdventureDex dirt roads that have little grooves caused by rain over time.
Awesome VID, question how many settings do the shocks? Which setting is for a softer ride vs a firmer ride? Thanks
Thanks! There are 8 settings! Each setting is slightly firmer!
What engine you running ?
I bought the same shocks for my 2016 sahara then add 33 tires factory rims, now the tires are rubbing on the reservoir shock, any recommendations??
LOL, Rough Country over FOX? PALEASE MAN!
I'd take Falcons over them things!
Thanks for the comment! That’s what this channel is about installing and reviewing new products! My first impression is positive but we will see over time how they hold up! Thanks for watching!!
Sad thing is, even if they did perform better than Fox or Falcons, for all we know they could be on par with King but Nobody would take them serious & roll the dice, especially at that price point. Prior to these their most expensive shock was $50. For RC to ask $400 a shock, I'm almost inclined to think they must be good.
@@apexpredator_jku after installing one of their lift kits on my jeep, I'll never be buying any of their stuff again.
@@Nothingtoya what happened?
How are they holding up?
Does the rear shock reservoir rub at the top? Hard to tell @ ~7:00 minute mark. Maybe your break lines too(?).
No rubbing! Thanks for watching!
You didn't talk about different roads how they ride
great video!! was curious about adding these to the front, I have now made my decision and I will def be getting them!!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed
I am curious how these compare. I almost got these. 😎
What are VERTEX shocks say like, asphalt , no lift, going too fast over (hitting) a speed bump at the mall.... Like butter?..
Man i don’t know if i wanna buy these Rc shocks since radflo makes them but branded RC, Or fox 2.5 dscs
How does rough country shocks holding up ?
You keep calling the 'piston rod' the piston. The piston is inside the main cylinder that controls the damping.
Calm down buddy. Not a big deal. Idiots these days
What is a good setting for street?
What did you do with the Fox shocks? I am needing some new shocks and was looking at those.
very nice, are you selling the fox shocks?
Not yet! Thanks for watching!
I’m running my Jeep stock rubicon recon 2017 not sure what shocks to get
There are lots of good options on be market! This is one of them! Fox and Teraflex are also very good well known options!
Definitely going to try one of them what’s the pro and cons on the new one thanks for the reply love your videos keep up the good work brother
Thanks for the support bro! I also have a full video on the Fox shocks to compare 👍🏼
Fox! All the way 🤑
How much ya want for the fox shocks ?
Just watched your video, I have been ridding stock on my JK, until I am going to lift it. I was wondering what lift was?
Thanks Gerald! I highly recommend Teraflex Lift Kit!
How have they held up?
Looks like the rough country has like 1.5 inches less travel.
Bro what watch are you wearing ?
Sorry what kind of test is that ?
Keep great my Jeep brother nes job man I like you videos
Thanks Raul!!
How are the shocks holding up I have them and my 2 biggest complaints would be they are not rebuildable and the stickers fade to pink then to white
They are rebuildable
Great video 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😎👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I appreciate the continued support!
Hey Dex, I see your front Vertex shocks didn't come with (or you didn't install) the upper relocation brackets that are currently included with the Rough Country Kit. Do you have any issues with your shock body interfering with anything without the relocation brackets..? Thanks!
Hey! No interference! Still enjoying them! 💪🏼
if you can avoid the bracket, DO NOT USE IT. Both sides snapped as i was driving on a regular dirt road (or possibly even before). I havent off roaded very hard, just dirt roads and they already broke, not even 500 miles on them yet. Completely dissatisfied. My jeep is currently at the shop cuz when the bracket snapped, the bugger nut pulled through the shock tower and the shock fell out and got stuck in the wheel well. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere with no reception or help. Jeeps currently in the shop and im waiting to hear how they plan to fix it
Awesome buddy
Thanks Andy!
How much you want for the fox shocks?
Not for sale yet! lol Thanks for watching!
Any updates?
niiiiice
I'm guessing RC wants to shed the low end quality they've always had, but they have a long, long ways to go. The shocks might be worth the price , but the RC perception is not. Put the Fox 2.0 back on. You are above RC even if they pay you.
They look nice!!
Thanks man!
RC should've rebranded them like Teraflex did with Falcons. They gave Falcons their own identity. Seperate website, social media & brand management. Rough Country should've dropped the RC branding & just left it as Vertex. Even if they were awesome shocks, Nobody's going to take these serious, especially at that price point.
Where did you get that Caution-K9 decal at? Looks awesome!
Not a big fan of anything Rough Country sales. IMO
I completely understand. They are not known for high end products but this channel is about finding out! Lets see how they last over time!
Come on man this is that ?
Can I have your old one both are really nice but ya trying to do high speed test
Not giving away yet! Thanks for watching!
Cool thanks but keep me in mind when your ready
Will do 🤙🏼
Those rc are good if you hitting trails at the mall why would you switch those for Fox 🤦🏻♂️
Lmao the trails at the mall
The true comparison would be the fox 2.5 shocks with reservoir not the 2.0 fox shocks
Please review the Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks!
Thanks for the suggestion Eric! Will look into them 👍🏼
Dex,
Are you still running these shocks? Any issues do far?
Yes, no issues. Still enjoying them
Considering these for my JLUR. My Rocksports are starting to go that came with my lift. 17k miles on them. Very affordable shocks that were put to the test with amount I drive and amount of off-roading.
Bro you should change that gay grill
Great shocks tho
Have you took that thing offroad other than that civic trail?
Come on bro...I appreciate the support but you think that comment is necessary...
Its a joke
☺️☺️🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry if u mad i will delete it 😂😂
Backcountry Ohio you mean like all 7 of your subs?
Teraflex Falcon 3.3 shocks
Thanks for sharing!
dude, just look at the extended / compressed lengths on the RC shocks. SKIP
Idk much about why that extended/compressed length difference is unlikeable? Why don't you like that length difference?
You lost so much down travel
Sell me your old fox shocks
For that price you can find the whole lift and the vertex shocks, plus the front driveline. Thats about what i paid for the whole lift. For my wife's 19 JL. They ride nice if your running big tires and not KFC bucket wheels. They do extend out far. Dang my wife wheels harder then this guy 😂😂😂
Rough country is supposed to be cheap garbage.....yeah I'll take fox bilsteins then Kings everyday before I ever take a rough country shock.....I legit went superlift with 5100s and I'd have went zone fox shocks also before I even paid 1k for a rough country lift
