I cleaned mine of soil and plopped it into ro water almost 3 months ago. (I change it each week.) The whole thing, not a cutting. It’s giving me new leaves and the roots have turned a glorious shade of green! I wish I could share a picture here.

How do you change water, do you remove the whole plant? Or keep the plant and just the drain the water and refill it?

I take out the plant and rinse the roots in cool water while gently wiping them with my fingers. Scrub the container without soap, refill and put the plant back. 😊

Noooo shit? OMG THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I Don't know why I didn't think of this considering the type of roots it has. I've been So frustrated because I've killed three of these because of some type of root rot, regardless of how little I water or what type of soil I use. I have 25 other tropical plants that are amazingly healthy but I cannot seem to grow this plant in soil no matter what I do. So I've given up even though I really really REALLY want one!
Now I'm going to try again and just grow in water!
