- Today I will show you how to check your engine oil level electronically on Mercedes W203 C-Class. This video is for all models from year 2004-2007. Procedure is same for petrol and diesel engines.

What type of oil do you use for your mercedes?
I use mobile1, 5-40 it is okay ?
Mobile 1 is ok I use Petronas 5w-40 MB approval 229.51
There is no engine oil level menu for me (c180, 2005). When i'm in total milage in ignition on with the arrows i olny see - Total milage - Current speed - Service B and no more, any idea?
Unfortunately not all models have this menu. Maybe there are some other options for your C180.
Is this the same as for the c200??

Yes, its the same for all w203 restyling models.
Have the same engine, OM646, and I had 6.4-6.5 when changed the oil. Now, after 5000 km, I have 6.0-6.1, is this normal? Yet, the computer says this level is “OK”.
Ok you are down about 0.5l but that is not that such a big deal .. If you engine has a high millage the wear is doing it`s job piston rings are fading slowly. You can add this 0.5l of oil if you want but if ECU says that level is OK then you don`t have to worry.
what should it read ?mine says 7.1 gts engine off and it goes down to 5.5 with engine at idle.
That is ok oil circulates when engine is running. Fot this engine goes 6.5 liter of oil.
@@alex_garage l have the 2.6 liter and it holds 8gts .I guessat least I gt would be suspended up in the filter and so 7 in the pan would be correct in a cool engine that has sit for 30 minutes...thanks
@@chrisfritz6261 Yes for that 2.6l engine is definitely ok. In my video engine is 2.2 liter so 6.5 liter is all good.
Mine c220 should be 6.5 . On cold show 7.5l when running engine shows 6.5 do i need reduce?
When engine cold mine c220 shows 7.5 but level must be 6.5 , after running car several minets i got reading 6.4 do i need reduce oil?
We all know that it's the best to measure oil levev when car is cold .. After few minutes when you start the engine oil goes trough the engine and that is why you got lesser value!!
@@alex_garage yes at cold 🫣just dont knew does messure correct , i put 6.5 liter but computer shows 7.5
@@onelifesecrets9746 maybe some old oil has left in your engine.. you must know how much old oil approximately you drain from engine.. you can’t blindly put 6.5l of new oil..

Koliko je litara ulja potrebno?
Za motor OM646 se sipa pri zameni 6,5l gradacija ulja zavisi od km i stanja motora.

Nisi sve pokazao, taster sa leve strane koji sluzi za reset treba da se pritisne 3 puta dok je kljuc okrenut u prvoj poziciji i prvo sto pise na ekranu je voltaza akumulatora, nakon toga se pritisne strelica na volanu i pisace kodna oznaka motora i jos neke oznake, tad se da kontakt/kljuc u drugoj poziciji i ispisace koliko tacno litara ulja ima u motoru.
Moze i tako ali to je druga prica tzv secret menu.. ovo je samo da vidis jel nivo ulja Ok u motoru.
