No it's not. Follow up with the artist and I know for sure that he will tell the truth. I for one have nothing wrong with sharing God's word through songs; but it is quite offensive if the original composers are not acknowledged. This is like a sudden thing that was made behind the original composers not being aware. I know the original composer but it is good if Richard can be honest. The bottom line is being honest and acknowledging the original composer for I know that God used the original composer as an instrument. We should thank God for using people like the original composer and asking the original composer if it is okay to record the song or not. But hey, don't think that I am angry or anything. I am happy with the fact that they do want to share but if it is in a honest way than that will be much better. For the Bible also said 'thou shalt bare no false witness.' Exodus 20:16. Please take this as a stepping stone and keep doing the work of God from the heart. May God's name be glorified and no one else be glorified. Amen
If you are a composer, you will know what I mean. But if you are not a composer, than you wouldn't know what I mean. And actually the original composer wasn't happy at first place. But I guess he has already prayed to God ans asked God to remove the anger in his heart and prayed God to forgive you because he is a Christian.
