Hay, you stayed in Taj Mahal Tower. Which is the new wing of the hotel, and has a very contemporary look and feel. The original Taj Mahal Palace hotel was only the Heritage wing which still retains all the old world decor. I have had the luck to stay in both the wings and it's beautiful.
