Blitz, I'd keep 1 foundation outside of the ones with something on it (like water purifier, or chest) because if the shark takes it out, you lose everything on it... so you always have a buffer.
You can also build garden plots to grow the veggies.

I have a save that I literally just hunt the shark on. Got the dataless822 potato tower, a tree tower, and enough nets that if I'm not needing anything, I'll just lure the shark into my huge hunting raft, it's great XD
