When I visited Jerusalem, I went all through the Old City, and when I visited the City of David, I felt something very special there, and I began to cry tears of joy as if I were flooded with the holy spirit, from that point forward I knew there was something special about that place and was revealed to by the divine that the City of David was the original temple. I had absolutely no studies into the subject whatsoever, the information was solely presented in a sort of "Osmosis" fashion. Then he goes into the temple and preaches. Upon exiting, he says all the buildings will be destroyed. The Temple was one building of many.

The Bible says that the Temple was on David's threshing floor .. I find it hard to think that they dragged all the produce up to the top of the mountain to thresh it.
Many locations in Israel have been built up…but the city of David is very plausible. The only exception that would place it outside of the city of David is the fact that scripture states that David bought the threshing floor from Araunah the Jebusite.

Also something to consider is the fact that the Temple Mount was connected to Antonia Fortress by a two 600-foot sky bridges, which clearly indicates that they were on two seperate hills with the Temple Mount being considerably lower in altitude than Antonia. When you approached the city from the Northeastern road, the 2nd Temple was blocked from view by the Antonia Fortress, placing it south of Antonia on a seperate hill. Also, when Jesus and his followers approached Jerusalem, he weeped at the sight of the CITY itself and said it would be laid siege to and DESTROYED. He later goes into the temple to preach, and then exits and says all the the buildings will be destroyed. He never singles the Temple out in terms of what will be destroyed. When the Romans sacked the city in 70 AD, they completely destroyed EVERYTHING including the city walls, gates, and towers. They killed or deported every Jew in the city and later founded Aelia Capitolina, which is now known the Old City of Jerusalem. The city today bears no resemblance to Jesus' Jerusalem. The entire modern narrative of the Temple Mount is one crafted by Muslims.

We need to know because of prophesy. One of the things that I have really started to notice is the lack of writings of the Apostles. The Church Fathers do in fact make mention of their writings such has The Preachings of Peter and The ascent of James. There are remnants of The Ascent of James. The Preachings of Peter comes down to us as the Clementine literature. There has been a concealment on many sayings, teachings, prophecies, and parables that came from Yeshua. We don’t have a complete understanding on what Yeshua’s standing was concerning the sacrifices and the Temple based on the Bible. We know of some accounts in the the gospels that he quotes from the Prophets like Hosea, Jeremiah, and Isaiah that seems to speak out against the sacrifices and that he never command it. There are supposed genuine statements that came from Yeshua that he taught that the scriptures must be in harmony with nature. There are vegetarian versions of the gospels that reveal that Yeshua did harmonies the Torah with nature and taught that all creation has the DNA of Torah in it.

There is strong evidence at other locations, but modern scholars are biased and refuse to acknowledge it. The Ark of the Covenant is where the city of Solomon is located. If you search for the Ark of the Covenant, you'll find the answer to where Solomon's temple is.

It matters where the second temple was and whether the wall remaining belonged to it as our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 that not a single stone will be left, they will all be thrown down.
