Great deductive work and the video presentation that kept the audience (me) intrigued. I think someone already monkeyed with that connector widening the terminal that caused a loss of the proper contact with the pin. I hope the expedition and the town car projects are also moving along. I look forward to the next videos. Best of luck!

Thank you!!! Someone was definitely in there before me. Expedition is back on the road and was just aligned Thursday, but found that both front lower ball joints are bad. I’ll order those soon and knock it out one weekend. Thanks for watching!!

Holy crap, I have the same problem with my 06 grand marquis, it's not a daily problem, have thrown starter, battery, alternator, spent 500 on 2 different garages, can't duplicate the problem, listening to you. It's my problem to, and Ford couldn't find an issue, I never turn car off when I'm out on a short trip, hoping car don't die. I've only had the car for 3 months and problem happen a couple weeks ago, after I replaced everything, I threw a trickle charger and next morning it started, and since I've had fire and local Napa shop, can't duplicate it, but Napa told me that ground to engine was really corroded, they fix the issue, but don't think that's was issue, and car starts everyday for 2 weeks, your video is much needed, be honest I think you know more than these garages, because you have the car with the issue

Me too, I always had a fear in the back of my mind that the problem would arise again. I’m glad it was home and I had the time to tackle it.

What pins where you probing on the range sensor I know it’s 2 or 3 years later and you might not remember but I’m having the same problem with my marauder and it’s very annoying I just threw a new engine into it and now it does this lol it just just not want to live

It’s been too long, but I remember they were at the end of the connector to the trans range sensor. I used a schematic I found on google to figure out which wires along with a service manual check list. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
