Dope! D.C. $ource the movement💯
Legendary 🔥🔥🔥
Next video has to be you mixing a record from scratch and showing us things you struggled with when u started out as a mixing engineer. Also include the vocal processing like the mic pre amp and equipment you'd advise upcoming artist to get for their home studios.
i think thats meek engineer but im pretty positive from what i can see, bro is not his mixing engineer. thats jus his mans that can cleans up his stuff before it goes out
Cruz a legend
Preciate it 💯
turn me up cruz!
Bro! I would have actually liked to hear the raw vocal prior to any plugins. To have a reference of the impact that good mixing can have. Any way you can do a short vid with that. Bypassing everything?
*Hook hard af*
BRO THATS LIT....SOUTH AFRICA
Waves
This is dope bro thank you!
Dope
bra respect
DC
This JAWN helped out a lot REAL WRAP tho
What’s on your mix bus?? This so good fam.
for vocals to have reverb and delays. would it make sense putting mono plug ins on it. what if I'm an ableton user and I'm using reverb but i put my utility to 0. which make the signal mono.. what is the signal techniqly
great tutorial
honestly, RVox is a fuckn beast plugin, more people needa know about it
That Rvox was doing the most! But I'm guessing that's partly because it's at the end of your plugin chain so you had all your previous plugins running through the RVox, giving the RVox more "character" because it's essentially compressing an already processed signal....?
Dope. Why you didn't show how you did uzi's autotune, the reverbs, and delays?
Amazing! Im trying compress as fuck with rcomp and then im trying use rvox and wow! Nice results! Compress af but wow ahahaha
I need you to get back on it Cruz
engineers hit me upp
Shout out cruz
!CH3CK OUT THIS FIR3 SONG NO HYP3 CH3CK FOR YOURS3LF! czcams.com/video/ngrnRsegUfI/video.html
it just takes the right engineer my g
I seen that skip for the s1imager. I see you lol
Skipped over the imager on UZI's vocals???
That's a lot of compression.. damn...
@@focaalexandr7536 there's no right or wrong way to do mixing. it's an art not science.as long as sounds doesn't clash and it sounds clean .. everything else is subjective and artistic preference.. you sound unprofessional for that matter !!
Sabl Campf no preamps no nothing it was recorded in a closet that’s why I think he had to make up for that
@@gianwalton5687 Aggressive compression doesn't make up for poorly recorded vocals tho, if anything it will bring up all the noise and room verb. I do agree that that are no rules tho, do whatever sounds good to you.
Dope! But rvox wasn't level matched so it also sounded significantly better for that reason
It’s The Chasers
You can buy the plugins buts it’s always best to find your own Sound/ your own tone.. that comes from hours of experience
More vids like this one
dope knowledge and well explained, cool it was recorded in apt. closet ...salute
.. didnt know Uzi played guitar, cant wait to hear him play guitar on a song, if he plays the guitar like he spits vocals, dat be hard
Post and Uzi should do a song playin guitar, the video could b Post as stevie vaughn and Uzi as hendrix ..be a cool video, then they smash the guitars at the end like nirvana did a lot.
I'm definitely going to buy this template. My setup is pretty similar in the way I route everything and the plugins I use. But I always use a fast release on hip hop tracks to get that in your face sound. But Im starting to notice a lot of professional engineers using slower release times And faster attack times. Can you tell me why that is? Great video by the way.
Faster attack times tame the volume more. Usually this is used on synths for the same reason. If you noticed, modern vocals seem to have a very pressed and consistent volume/tone. The settings you descirbed help achieve exactly this.
Darwin G 100 do u route your lead vocals to it's own aux as he seems to be doing here? I've watched other guys like wavy wayne, that only throws his plugins on the lead. Wavy uses a ton of compressors (3-4) and throws a L2 on the master fader to bring volume up.
yeah i route everything in protools through aux sends hooks, adlibs, verses. i wonder what hes doing besides turning down the volume on the beat it seems as if something is being added to the beat to help the vocals sit in the mix better.
The fast attAck makes the enunciation less harsh and levels the vocal out more and the longer release make the vocal sit further back in the mix bc the signal is compressed(quieter/leveled) for longer so it’s going to be a consistent volume and not be as dynamic
Mastering ? 🙏❤ thanks man 🔥
can you tell me what type of practice i needed for good music produaction i am learning before 3 years but i cant understand plzzz tell me i am from India
Thanks for the knowledge I make music at my home studio and my problem is thinking all the time that it’s not good enough as in production wise. My question to you is how do you know when the record is finished?
would be nice to hear the vocals without reverb etc..
🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥
Is the compressor from the waves gold bundle ?
Is the s1 imager supposed to do anything on lil uzi’s track?
Do you add any effects on when the artist recording?
Why is his vocal connected to two different channels? Why isn't the auto tune on the same channel as the other pluggins? Im fl studio native so i don't fully understand protools. like is it suppose to be a bus or something?
what is the name of that desk he's working on. I see the avid artist boards fit right into it
My question is how damn and why he’s mixing in a aux stereo with plugins like compressors and all the others plugins that he used here cuz he has those vocals in mono I’m so lost ? Please what’s the difference mixing with an aux audio track send stereo and mono one ?
This video is good but i think am just doin what you do but can't get the same quality as yours....what am I missing?
Does anyone know what microphone he used when recording uzi?
From what I hear Uzi likes using the TLM103. At the same time the U87 is a staple. So I’d say either of those two.
Does this template work on waves 10?
Are you on Mac or pc for the shortcuts
hey do you ever use Slate VTM?
I put blankets and pillows in my closet, no echo or anything
How much for a mix and mastering?
What audio interface you use ?
You gonna put out more tutorial
Free meek milly!
He does parallel mix
Anyone know the name of the song at the end?
LMAO yeah mhm, all they did to uzi's vocal was crank the autotune, no manual autotune was involved at all, just crank it up to 10
what kinda desk is that??
I feel like his lying technique cold af ! he's definetly talking that bulshit.
What mic did u use
What program this??
That was fyer peoples.
this some best kept secret shit
So it sounds like there was no analog on the vocal at all since they recorded in the closet?
why is the vocal on a stereo track?
the audio track automatically becomes stereo in protools when you insert a stereo plugin on a mono track. the autopan plug made it stereo
Smash my guitar and I can’t even play a guitar 🎸 🎶🎶🎶
reverb settings?
Is that a 6176?
what about the audiotune
compression 100:1 -100 GAIN REDUCTION LMAO
why is the mouse a ball?
for any of yall thinking you will get the same results remember these niggas got outboard gear like avalon pre amps and expensive mics and compressors good luck though
Which mic pre amp do you run your mic though?
Mixbrokers my thoughts exactly probably not analog because they where recording out of the closet on a whim
i use garageband im totally lost
If yall want tips... get your voice right then have your shit mastered. It the difference from the intro to when he plays the vocals... its simple
Desk??
Uzi vocal game is other worldly in this record. The grit is spectacular.
