- In the wake of Tina Turner's passing and the resurfacing of an old Ike Turner interviews circulating outlining the details behind his abuse of Tina, in this VladTV Flashback from 2014, Miss Robbie Montgomery and her son Tim Norman, owners of the St. Louis soul food restaurant chain Sweetie Pie's, sat down to discuss Robbie's years working as an "Ikette" for Ike and Tina Turner. She recalled how Ike was in control of all of the business dealings of his and Tina's career, and how he never allowed himself to reveal the physical abuse he subjected Tina to in public. While Montgomery never actually saw Tina being abused, she and the rest of the Ikettes knew it was happening because Tina would have injuries on her face afterwards. She stated that she believes Ike Turner "was a little crazy."
The irony of her calling Ike “a little crazy” while she’s sitting right next to a murderer.
Okayyy 😂😢like smh
I thought I was the only one thinking the same thing. More than a murderer. He murdered his own nephew. That’s a cold blooded killer.
He technically didn’t kill anyone. Hiring a Hitman and killing someone yourself is two different things.
This was before the murder though to be honest how she’s treated Andre’s family in the aftermath seems messed up considering he was her grandson.
@@g.o.a.tsports2880 I see your point but he still hired a hitman which resulted in a murder so he still caused the death. Especially in the court of law.
…😢little did she know at the time that her son Tim far worse than an Ike…
No shit?
Maybe it runs in family 😮😅
She in denial she still believes he innocent like he shouldn’t even been in this interview. He laughs at Ike slapping Tina condoning this
One thing vlad ain’t gone do is miss a Flashback 😂 Rip Andre
To even ask if Tina was a little crazy frustrates me. Dig deeper if that’s the question you have after hearing that interview.
She seems like the type of person who will gloss over things, not wanting to "get involved". "...nothing to do with us. "
yes. Or she'll play both sides.
She has NEVER mentioned how Ike sent her to lure Tina outside of where she was staying after she left the last time. Hm
that's immediately the vibe I got. She's the type of auntie/grandmama who will be like "oh I didn't see anything you must be lying just let it go and don't mention it again" if a child in the family come to her and say he's being sexually abused
@@iantuitionright, then cried on that episode talking about Tina didn’t want to be around anyone from her past, that’s why
@@seanjackson6300 !!! And Tina had to be fake for her benefit on that Oprah's Next Chapter episode where she was shown that. Ch.
And hey Sean!!
@@iantuition i think her sentiments were genuine towards that particular memory and she just didn’t let her mind go to the bs Robbie did
Looking at Tim. I still can't believe he set his own nephew up to get killed😡😡
He did...and ms. Robert was in on it too
Huh? His disposition sitting next to his mother is a look of pure evil... Black monster
And I believe he set his uncle up too.
@@onionhortonjrno she wasn’t .
@@patriciahudson9931no that is not f’n true … he set his nephew up by having someone from Memphis come up and set him up
RIP Tina Turner and RIP Andre
It’s disgusting to see her son the psychopath sitting there.
So he basically was beating on Tina and blaming it on a "mood adjustment". That mofo was psychotic
Interestingly enough there's many trolls who still deny he abused her yet he's confessed a few times in interviews either directly or indirectly.
@@edmundsishange3608 because they are as evil and weak as him smh
He was crazy, Tina said some things happened in his childhood that made him do some brutal things. I watched Ashley says so on yt and she did an excerpt on Ike and he basically watched his dad get lynched in front of him. Totally not excusing his behavior but it provides context on why he would act that way.
@@taylorwaylor8965 Ike saw his father lynched and be rejected from the hospital, so everyone could literally smell his father's organs rotting for years. Ike was sexually abused by multiple women as a child as well
It's like a scar that wouldn't go away that film was an all time classic well portrayed
I don’t like how dismissive her attitude towards the situation is. “Tina didn’t have anymore than us”…THE TALENT. People were there for her.
Oh shut up. Stop making assumptions just because you're negative and can't comprehend what she was getting at.
I think she’s talking about payment… it’s no secret that Ike wasn’t paying Tina
Right she was bitter bc she felt some type of way against Tina im here bc im just finding out that she was a ikettes😮😳 her son chuckled listening to the interview was Erie he tried to hide it 😒
@JenBC correct Ike didn't pay her. Infact Miss Robbie lent her money from time to time
@@TashiaMichelle5 Robbie and Tina were friends. Robbie gave Tina money because Ike wouldn't let Tina have money. He would spend it on her, but he wasn't paying her (well, not after they got together anyway).
I'm sure this was taped way before her son did what he did....
correct
He looked younger here
Meanwhile she refused to defend her grandson against being murdered by her child such phonies smh utter disgust at least Ike was honest tho 😂😢
I am crazy also. Have suffered from serious mental illness and addiction to violence. I will go off on anyone and, I am seeking therapy now. I still have mental outbursts. I can just off and be aggressive. I don’t blame Ike but it is still wrong and awful. If you have bipolar disorder or PTSD seek help.
I have the same issue, I have bipolar and I’m taking medication to stabilize my moods. I have gotten into serious trouble when I would go into rages.
I got PTSD and bipolar anxiety and schizophrenia and epilepsy sezuire after I had passed from my brain 🧠 tumor surgery last year and my grandma taught me never hit a women 💁🏿♀️👋🏿 unless they hit you first sound 👂🏿 to me Ike Turner was a true narcissist I'm only 25 and ik that but rest in paradise 👼🏿 🕊️ Tina Turner 💯
TIM IS THE CRAZY SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO HER
That is an old interview. I am sure that she didn't know that Tim had killed her grandson. Tim has caused his mom a lot of pain.
Ike never set up a murder of a family member. :-|
Exactly
Ike hired hitmen to murder Tina after their divorce
@@edmundsishange3608You don't know if that's true or not
@@edmundsishange3608he sure did
@@kisha4040it’s in police reports in Cali, Ike was known to do that
Now Ms. Robbie you know he sounded crazy talking about he smacked a grown woman to change her mood. That’s domestic violence. You can’t go around hitting people. I’m sure if he smacked you, you would have stomp him.
And he actually thinks that he helped her have a better attitude...wtf
and I wonder why she was in that mood!
To think her son grieved the death of his nephew, her grandson, during an interview with the family and the entire time he knew he killed Andre. Andre moved to St. Louis from Texas to save himself from the streets of Texas only if he had known he was moving with evil. He was a great young man. I'm sorry for his mother's loss, but I'm happy she fought for justice & justice prevailed.
Ike hit Tina, but he didn't kill her & she was able to leave & build a new legacy. Your son stole the innocent life of your grandson, and I'm happy he didn't hurt Ms. Robbie. I detective said the first murder is hard after murder after that gets easier. RIP Andre...
Tina also had a baby by a band member.
Ike wasn't perfect but if it wasn't for Ike the world would have never known about Tina Turner who had a rep in Memphis before Ike made her rich and a star.
Never the less RIP TINA TURNER🌹
Yeah Ms. Robbie ain't saying much she was sleeping with Ike too. All the Iketts did.
Yep 😂
Opp!😂
She couldn’t help it, Ike was not only a bully but his thang was as thick as a jelly jar.
@criticalthought4910 “Ike slept with - or tried to sleep with - every woman in our orbit, married, single, and everything in between. He seduced every woman in our circle… in his mind sex was power.
“When a woman became his conquest, he believed he owned her.” - Tina's book.
That includes Ms. Robbie too...lol
@@criticalthought4910 Huh?How u know that?About his thang
Vlad gon remind you, that he got all them recordings, lol another flashback. As for you, Robbie, I know as a mother you feel like you gotta support Tim but at the same time, he's a murderer. The victim is your grandson, you should've have done more against his ways. Now, as for your relationship with Tina, I find what you wrote to be very sweet as Tina acknowledged before she passed, y'all friendship. Rest in peace, Tina Turner ❤
Ike was a horrible person but Tim is way worse! At least Ike never set up anyone to be murdered.
Ike hired hitmen to murder Tina after their divorce, they shot at her apartment a few times but she didn't get hurt, she had a gun by then to protect herself.
@@edmundsishange3608 Ike denied that he hired a hitman and there was no proof he did or else he would've been arrested for attempted murder. Tina had a gun even while she was with Ike. He bought her a gun after their house was robbed. If either of them really wanted to kill each other they could've.
My uncle and Aunt were friends of theirs
She is beautiful looks amazing❤❤
Like I said….. Vlad rushes to flashback when something negative happens. He has a whole archive just ready to exploit and make money off of. If someone dies or goes to jail or gets robbed….. he looks for videos to flashbacks
Ike wasn’t bipolar; he was a Narcissist.
He was bipolar also let’s not act like people can’t have a chemically mental illness
And so was Tina
He was bipolar, he was diagnosed with it and taking medication during the final years of his life. You can be bipolar and a narcissist, my ex was both.
A lot are narcissists are bi-polar.
Oh God an Internet diagnosis, "narcissist" is the choice one this month.
While Tim Sitting there Laughing At Ike, One Thing About it, I Rather be Crazy/Bipolar Than to be A Murderer... Andre AND Mrs Robbie Are The Victims Here, Prayers for Both Of THEM...
Miss Robbie is a victim? WTF? How the hell is she a victim and she condoned all of his bad behavior not just the murder of her grandson ,, but including abusing his son's mother..GTFOH
Robbie deserves all that she gets.
@@patriciahudson9931 Girl? I Meant To Say OLD ASS WOMAN, Stay in Your Lane And Go Find you Someone Else to Play With.
Ike had deep rooted issues from his childhood and he was later diagnosed as bipolar. He certainly had his faults but he had good attributes too. He helped start careers for many singers and musicians. He moved his entire band from St. Louis to Los Angeles. Miss Robbie said on Anderson Cooper that leaving home with Ike was like having a safety blanket. He made sure his employees weren't paid and taken care of. Most people who worked for him talk about a positive experience and a lot returned to work for him.
@Richard Ruggio Ike and Tina had fights. Meaning she would also hit him. Ike was remorseful for his actions, watch his interviews later in life. He also wrote a book. Tina never took accountability for her actions and always blamed Ike. She was not the helpless battered wife she is often portrayed as.
@@samrindge8042 The only time Tina hit Ike back that we know of was their last engagement in Dallas. No one is talking about how Ike came to work injured... Tina was the one performing through injuries.
@@StephanFitzgeraldTayWe don't know if that's true or not. There's two sides to every story.
I like the respect that Miss Robbie shows not like the rappers and people today just all this all that you know just got to tell this full of the opinion of something I'm not going to lie but I'm not feeling to give you what you trying to drag out of me
I just wish they would stop talkin about ike beating up on Tina ,focus on her by herself that the good news,if y'all wanna focus on one thing, let's talk about how ike went broke and Tina became a superstar 😂

@@ericbryant-dz8mj no Miss Robbie has not died. Smoove is talking about Tina Turner's death.

Judge Joe Brown gave the correct analysis of Tina Turner (who profited off Ike's name. ) And her past before Ike Turner rescued her in Memphis Tennessee and made her a star.
Bw at that time down south in the Jim crow era had very little opportunities.
If it wasn't for Ike the world would have never known Tina Turner who had two oow kids I understand by the time she was 21
Ike married her anyway. He wasn't perfect but Tina wasn't an angle either.
See Joe Brown's analysis. Those old enough to remember and who're still alive remember the real Anna Mae Bullock "Tina"
Ike's one of the founders of Rock n Roll
He and Jackie Brenston recorded Rocket 88 in 1949 released in 1951
Before Elvis, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets ( who basically copied Louie Jordan ) Fats Domino and Lil Richard....
And long before Alan Freed was given credit for coining the pharse Rock n Roll
The Rock n Roll hall of Fame won't tell you that.
That term was already used in the Blues & Rhythm and Blues Music
Google the song 60 minute man.
The Smearing of Ike's legacy
Notice they never mention the fact that Elvis had dated a 14 yr old & Jerry Lee Lewis also had an under aged girl.
Tina Turner RIP🌹
Judge Joe Brown did not know Ike or Tina. you're just a desperate incel who has no facts. Ike did not rescue her and he profited off of HER. If it wasn't for Tina, Ike would've died in the fucking Club Manhattan. With no hits. And nobody would care, not that they do now anyway.
@@iantuition Ike and Tina benefited from each other. Ike was already an established musician by the time he met Tina. He had recorded "Rocket 88," discovered Holwin' Wolf and played piano on BB King's early records. Tina certainly elevated his act, she was the show but he put it all together down to her stage name. Maybe someone else would have discovered her but Tina said she had no intentions of having a singing career before she became a fan of Ike's. She pursued him to join his band. Most likely she would have died a retired nurse if she hadn't met Ike. Tins was a struggling teen mom and living in a garage in a bad part of town before she became his lead singer. Ike provided her with financial security and a home. She even said she would've been lost without him during those early years.
@@samrindge8042 I agree that it was mutually beneficial, but acting like Ike was some sort of savior is HILARIOUS. Predator, more like, and not even one with initiative.
Nursing would have done her just fine, and Anna Mae had been singing and dancing since she was a child, in high school and publicly even. She wanted to sing at the club because she knew she could outsing everybody - and she was right, but Ike kept ignoring her, and really kept ignoring her until "A Fool in Love". The one who really discovered her was Juggy Murray, cause Ike's dumb ass would've erased her legendary vocal. LOL!
If Ike had never given Tina that mic, she would've been fine, and had she met another musician who wasn't an abusive, non-writing, addictive asshole, she might have gotten the career she deserved without having to wait 28 years for it. She was and IS a generational talent and has the career to prove it - Ike DIDN'T.
And your timeline is incorrect (and disingenuous, because I can tell you know it's incorrect) btw. Tina became a "struggling teen mom" living in an APARTMENT _while singing _*_background_* in Ike's band. and she only moved out because of the violent incident with Lorraine. She moved back when she started keeping Ike's books and he raised her pay... and then she moved out AGAIN and got a job when he got her pregnant and then got back with Lorraine just like a deadbeat. She didn't move back until, again, JUGGY MURRAY gave Ike HIS big break, and then Ike made up a stage name so he could 1) own/control her and 2) replace her when she left... as if he would ever be able to do so.
Had she not met Ike she may not have even been a teen mom LMFAO. All he really did was groom her and waste her fucking time. Just because she said she would've been lost without him means nothing. She was lost WITH him. "I was living a life of death. I didn't exist. ...I was already dead." - the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll
Really, he had his reason for hitting Tina. The grandson's mother need to make sure that baby never sees her. She has no morals nor character.
According to Judge Joe Brown, Tina wasn't all that innocent on how she treated people.
I’ve heard she had her way, and she could be rude, not like Joe Brown is a credible source or involved in their marriage to even know.
Who cares what he says, he didn’t live with Ike and Tina. He didn’t know what went on at their home.
Joe Brown who is despicable
Still no right for Tina to be abused, whatever Joe Brown says
So what are u saying than ? That it was ok to beat her ? That it was a reason to slap her into a good mood ?

Maybe it’s just me, but that dude’s neck is disproportionately thinner than his upper body. I missed the whole conversation looking at this dude’s pencil neck compared to his upper body, like a bobble head. I think this guy needs to bulk up his neckline. Tina ( Ann) endured much in her life and it turned her off from black people. It wasn't just Ike's violence. She moved to Europe and said she wanted nothing to do with her past, she didn't even reach out to Ikettes. She spoke highly of Robbie helping her on that Oprah interview. Tina fall for her husband at 47 to his thirty-years-old. I dig Tina, but she had issue long before Ike.
What issue did she have?
@Edmund Sishange Her parents (her mother abandoned her, Tina's father was abusive). Her father was a violent man who abandoned her as well, leaving her with his mother. She was singing in clubs at sixteen. She lost her hair (it thinned out) due to high levels of stress. That started before she met Ike. Tina also stated, while in the 4th grade, "She saw a pretty white girl and compared herself to the child and said, 'That's what I'd like to look like.' She struggled academically and mentioned that it might have been because of a psychological factor about her home like. - source
1986 I, Tina.
It didn't [just] turn her off of black people, it turned her off of America (she said she was over American men in particular).
Ike is being lie on too it way more than we getting from Tina I met someone that knows Ann and went to school with Ann and I say Ann because that’s the real Tina.
