    How To Make Kashmiri Chicken:
    Ingredients:
    For Marination:
    1 kg chicken pieces
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
    1 tsp crushed fennel seeds
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    For Chicken Frying:
    2 tbsp oil
    For Preparing the Curry:
    1/2 cup ghee or oil
    3 green cardamoms
    1 black cardamom
    4 cloves
    1 bay leaf
3 to 4 dried red chillies
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    1 cup tomato puree
    For Adding Spices and Cooking:
    1 tsp paprika powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    2 tsp coriander powder
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp garam masala powder
    1/3 cup water
    For Incorporating the Chicken:
Fried chicken pieces (from marination step)
    For Final Steps:
    1 cup water
    1 cup cream
    For Garnish:
2 to 3 green chillies, sliced
1 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
    Cooking Process:
    Marination:
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 kg of chicken pieces with:
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
    1 tsp crushed fennel seeds
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Thoroughly coat the chicken with the spices and marinate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
    Chicken Frying:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated chicken pieces to the skillet.
Fry the chicken pieces for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly browned and cooked through.
Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
    Preparing the Curry:
In the same skillet, add 1/2 cup of ghee or oil and heat it over medium heat.
Add the whole spices: 3 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 4 cloves, 1 bay leaf, and 3 to 4 dried red chillies. Allow them to sizzle and release their aroma for about 2 minutes.
Next, add 2 large sliced onions to the skillet and sauté them until they turn golden brown, stirring occasionally. This should take approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
Once the onions are golden brown, add 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
Now, add 1 cup of tomato puree to the skillet and mix well with the onion mixture. Allow it to cook for about 3 minutes until the raw smell of the tomatoes disappears and the mixture thickens slightly.
    Adding Spices and Cooking:
Add the following spices to the skillet:
    1 tsp paprika powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    2 tsp coriander powder
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp garam masala powder
Pour in 1/3 cup of water to create a thick gravy consistency and mix well.
Allow the curry to simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the spices are well incorporated and the raw flavor diminishes.
    Incorporating the Chicken:
Carefully add the fried chicken pieces back into the skillet with the simmering curry.
Mix the chicken pieces well with the curry to ensure they are evenly coated with the flavorful sauce.
Allow the chicken to cook in the curry for an additional 10 minutes over high heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
    Final Steps:
After 10 minutes, pour in 1 cup of water into the skillet, ensuring that the chicken is submerged in the liquid.
Cover the skillet with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Allow the chicken curry to simmer gently for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and the chicken to become tender.
    Finishing Touches:
Once the chicken is cooked through and the curry has thickened to your desired consistency, uncover the skillet.
Pour in 1 cup of cream into the curry and gently mix it in, allowing it to heat through for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
Finally, garnish the Kashmiri Chicken Masala with 2 to 3 sliced green chillies and 1 cup of finely chopped coriander leaves for a burst of freshness and flavor.
    Serving:
Serve the delicious Kashmiri Chicken Masala hot with steamed rice, naan bread, or roti for a hearty and satisfying meal that will tantalize your taste buds with its rich and aromatic flavors.
Enjoy the culinary delight of this Kashmiri Chicken Masala recipe, packed with spices and warmth that will surely delight your senses and leave you craving for more! Adjust the spice levels according to your preference and savor each mouthful of this exquisite dish.
